It could work but in doing it they would loose the essence of what the Ultimate Universe is. It's about IMO anyway taking characters that might of been stale and revamping them with new stories and retelling of old. Or taking popular ones and doing the same so fans can collect from start.

Instead of Original series they should find a hero that was so bad and failed so fast in 616 and revamp it in a way that will make fans from people who breeze through it to die hards think cool.

Like use a character like off the top of my head Bucky. Give him a bad *** make over and a do it in a big way that makes a big noise over her and fans who have lost interest in ultimate comics suddenly think "now wait that's actually pretty good." or people who like 616 think "Now that hero is very cool I think i'll start getting in to ultimate comics.

Others may disagree with this but I think it would cool. Or take a load of individual heroes that were cheesy and dated turn them in to a group that stop crime yes but does it in a street gang sort of way. Kicking *** and letting every one know they are here to stay. They could be like the Anti-Ultimates.

Isn't a parody still original?

If you're using established characters, then it's not original. If you have mock versions with different names, then it is.

Agreed. A parody is not 'original' but that doesn't make it 'less'. A parody's 'greatness' is predicated on using something else.

kind-of

e.g Spaceballs is original in a sense but not that orginal as it has loads of things from other films in it.

exactly

still using spaceballs as my example. Not original in a sense like i said but like Mr Chair here points out does not mean it's bad. Spaceballs kicks ***.
