Pixar Theory Timeline (headcanon)

After watching ~5 minutes through Dory's Reef Cam, I have decided to watch Pixar Popcorn instead. I'm pretty sure one of the FN ones would help in this situation

Well, I thought there was a camera related one, but no. I'll just put it right after Finding Nemo, since the divers would probably go there more than once, and would most likely record it. I'm not putting it after Finding Dory, since Marlin is still somewhat overprotective of Nemo

Watching Pixar Popcorn right now, the first one seems to take place shortly after Forky Asks a Question, since he discovers he can roll his eyes in sync, so he's doing that instead of "working out".

Episode 2 seems to take place a while after Cars 3, so I'm placing it after Cars on the Road.

Episode 3 doesn't have a lot going for it, but I'm going to assume it takes place after Finding Dory. Dory's memory loss is getting better after that, but since it's still pretty bad in the episode, I'm assuming it's directly afterwards.

Episode 4 is related to Soul, which I haven't added yet.

Episode 5 features the carnival, with all the prizes still there, so it takes place before the side-credit clips, but after Toy Story 4.

Episode 6 is Incredibles, which I've already added.

Episode 7 is Coco, which I haven't added yet.

Episode 8 takes place on the carousel at the Toy Story 4 carnival, though nobody's on it and it has lights on, so I'm assuming it's just closed for the night, placing it after the side-credits.

Episode 9 features the Cars just doing whatever, having fun for the sake it, kind of like in the previous episode, so I'm assuming it's the same day, just late at night.

Episode 10 is Incredibles.

Episode 11 is a compilation of all of the episodes.

Just watched Soul, and Joe has what seems to be the Pixar variant of an iPhone X (or any above it, just one that doesn't have the home button at the bottom), so Google's placement of it in 2020 doesn't seem too off.

Judging by the foliage (finally remembered a better word than "flora") it's autumn.

Since a lot of people suddenly end up on the [Stairway to Heaven] I'm assuming it could be COVID? I dunno, it's weird how there were little-to-no people on the stairway, then hundreds, all tightly packed (there was an emo kid there, so I hate to say it, but he probably killed himself based on his archetype and mannerisms. I guess that means it's at least the 2000s, since teenage suicide spiked with Gen Z).

He was in a rap group in school/college, so 2020 is lining up more and more.

22 says she's been "messing with this team for years", as it cuts to the basketball team Knicks missing a slam dunk. Looking at their score history, they didn't play any games in autumn of 2020 (though this is most likely due to COVID, and they would've most likely carried on losing most games.)

The Zone seems to be more in sync with Earth than the Great Before, so I'm going to assume they happen at the same time as events on Earth, not before (like with the Great Before).

They steer away from telling us the date pretty well (and annoyingly).

A very clear numberplate conveniently doesn't have a date on it for some reason.

All this obscurity changes, however, when we finally see a calendar, dated November. It places the movie in 2021, with 2 dates circled on the calendar - November 12 and November 23 - one of these has to be the gig, and the day the movie's set. Looking at the Knick's scores, it doesn't get much better for either of them, but no game was played on either days. Since their scores improve slightly after the 12th, I'm going to put the movie there.

The last few seconds take place the day after, on the 13th.

The Soul Pixar Popcorn episode appears to take place during the second time Joe is In The Zone, so I'll put it afterwards on the simplified timeline

I found a link to the pilot on Daily Motion, but it doesn't include the actual show, so thanks for getting this for me

The voicing for the show was pretty unexpected, not all of them fit their characters, I feel. However, I'm torn between including it in the main timeline as an in-universe show, or the "real world" as an in-universe show, since the intro is impossible to happen in Toy Story canon

Coco is chock-full of flashbacks. From my understanding, Mama Coco was born in 1918, so that should be an alright starting point. Miguel also says Ernesto de la Cruz gets crushed by the bell in 1942, which would've been the peak of his career.

Assuming Mama Coco is born in 1918, they're 3 when the family business becomes cobblers ("est 1921" is written on the wall) which would also be when "Remember Me" is played for the first time.

The movie takes place from September 30th to November 2nd (Day of the Dead), so if I get a day of the week, that should get an exact year.

After 6 days, Ratatouille does a montage, which takes place over what seems to be a few days, but since Alfredo reads a newspaper that was already shown previously, it would be the same day (until nightfall, then the day after). Linguini gets a lot of press in this time, but him being Gusteau's son is a big revelation, so I wouldn't doubt he could get a lot in 1-2 days.

The young Ego flashback is pretty hard to place, but I'm going to assume he's 10 in the flashback, and in his 50s in the present day. Because of this, I'm placing the flashback in the '30s

Remmie says he had to let out Alfredo and the inspector "eventually" so I'm assuming that's the next day (day 9), then by the next day they went out of busitess. Based on the mannerisms of the rats/humans in the epilogue, I'm going to say it's been a year, and is September 1970, after the Incredibles Pixar Popcorn episodes

Your Friend the Rat seems to take place in the same universe as Alex Bale's Pixar Metaverse Theory, though I'll date it now anyway. The dates for the illustrations are pretty easily dated (they're historic events). Since it's presented as a documentary, I'll place it at its release date.

Just watched the Coco Pixar Episode, and it definitely takes place after Coco, but there's a calendar that says "November 2017" on it. This isn't too bad, since the only change moving Coco to 2017 would be is either having Mama Coco's age at 99, or having her be born in 1917, both of which are fine outcomes. Either way, I'm moving it back a year, then putting the Popcorn episode just after it (Day of the Dead is early November)
