Pixar Theory Timeline (headcanon)

Currently watching Toy Story 2. Trying to pinpoint what year the Jesse flashbacks take place in, and from an extremely blurry numberplate it appears to be ?4, so I'm going to assume it's 1984.

I'll also be assuming the "forgotten" montage takes place with 1 year between each clip

I can't find any good evidence for when Toy Story 2 takes place. A lot of people are saying it takes place 1-2 years after the first movie, but I can't find any evidence online to support this. I guess I could go off that he's 6, turning 7 in Toy Story and cross reference it with his little-to-no aging…

I guess since the LZTYBRN numberplate says Nov 95 I should assume it's one year after the first? I've just looked up what they mean (I'm British) and I'm going to move Toy Story back one year, as I assumed it would mean the last time you had an MOT, and I wouldn't put it past Al to have an expired number plate

I'm actually going to move Toy Story all the way back to '94, so that Al's numberplate's fine, and the August calendar lines up (there are 2 August calendars, both with writing on them, and with different designs, so it's most likely an intentional decision)

I looked up flight history to Tokyo from 4 Points Richmond Airport (the flight in Toy Story 2) to get an exact date, not just August. However, it requires a hefty payment to own the data so, while it is definitely possible to find a set of dates it could be set on, I am not paying a few hundred to find out.

Just started watching Toy Story 3 and why did they have to remove Andy's calendar…

No, it was just out of view for the wide shot, I guess they changed the layout
