Raven TV series (You know, the Teen Titan)

So the CW is seriously considering making a TV series about Raven from the Teen Titans.

Personally, I'm not sure this is a good idea. Raven is a good character, but it's very easy to make her out as a stereotypical emo. Plus the CW doesn't have a great track record.

Though I should mention that Raven was one of the best part of the fantastic Teen Titans cartoon.

I think this can be good, I have a feeling the first season will suck but once they get more into the mythology of the story than whinny emo girl we all know they're gonna have it could be a cool show. But who can stand a whinny emo kid at all?

You see I want to make a Titans tv show when I'm older and it wouldn't involve Raven besides a subplot because she's uninteresting. It would even work for the CW for their 20 something relationship driven demographic. It would have Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Arsenal, Cyborg and Starfire because they are the only interesting Titans characters. Raven having her own show is ridiculous.

It's really hard to make a judgment call until we know more. The fact that she hasn't had a whole lot of solo time means it's difficult to know where they'd go with this show. Will they play off established DC mythology, perhaps steep it in the mystic DC characters, or will they just take the basic idea of the empathic daughter of a demon and go with that?

Hypothetically, a show about a high school goth girl battling with demons in a goofy superheroic setting could appeal to the Buffy audience.

Raven with be emo goth high school girl, Garth will be her funny friend, and probably Cyborg will be the high school jock.

Right there it's a Buffy-esque type show.

There's a thought. I was thinking less Titans characters and more like Raven, Zatara, Black Alice, etc.... but that works as well if not better.
