Vanessa Alarcon saw them while working at an antiwar rally in Lafayette Square last month.

"I heard someone say, 'Oh my god, look at those,' " the college senior from New York recalled. "I look up and I'm like, 'What the hell is that?' They looked kind of like dragonflies or little helicopters. But I mean, those are not insects."

This is just creepy

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure I accidentally swallowed one of those the other day. Sorry US government...

Now they just need to use this technology inorder to get rid of mosquitoes once and for all!

I thought more would of responded to this , it ****ing creepy that they can do that and were trying out or whatever

Some federally funded teams are even growing live insects with computer chips in them, with the goal of mounting spyware on their bodies and controlling their flight muscles remotely.

That's the part that scares me the most. The flies will be alive and aware, but with a computer controlling their body. Aside from the moral issue, which yes, I do have a huge ****ing problem with, how long before they're doing this with larger and larger animals like humans?

Exactly , It's getting way out of hand
