okay guys, need help with the TOS Stardates. Someone knows if there is an actual method to convert the Stardates into our calendar system? Or are actually the TOS Stardates some random numbers?

I tried to do the same as you and I discovered that the Stardates are, infact, random numbers. At least in TOS and TNG they don't actually make sense, like, sometimes a character dies in a lower stardate that were they were introduced. But seems that maybe there have been efforts to make them make sense later(?).

Basically they only make sense in the movies, Enterprise Era, and post TNG, DS9 and VOY?

Oh! I did a Twitter thread on this a few months ago!

ETA: What order are you using for TOS? I see that you've got them numbered by production order, but you've chosen to skip some.

I am Building this timeline in release order for not loose my mind ahahaha. We're still in 1966.

Are you going to count the pilot or 1x15 and 1x16 have enough to just count them? If so, shouldn't you put some parts of them in the past on the timeline?

For release order, you'll get to the first volume of the James Blish adaptations soon. It's up to you whether to include them, but I'll say that they're interesting in their own right. Blish was working from early draft scripts, and sometimes he made changes of his own.

Just one thing, when people put episode numbers, like this, "1x01", the x is in lowercase "4x24" not uppercase "4X24"

some of you knows if the Star Trek Board Game (1967) and the trading card set have a plot?

I took a look at the game when I saw it was coming up during the run of TOS. From what I can tell, it has a goal but no characters. The ships aren't named, and the planets are just Greek letters.

You can see some of the cards here:

And this guy made a Tabletop Simulator version, as part of a project to play every Star Trek game:

tell me if I'm wrong here, but from what I saw in your link there isn't plot in Both products.

I think I didn't even bother to look at the cards.

Lol, I guess these do have plot! The back of each one has a little story, and the ones I've looked at don't match any episodes.

(Click on a card to see the back side.)

ETA: I know that Roddenberry made some extra money by selling film snippets to fans. These images might be from alternate takes, or sometimes even deleted scenes.

ETA2: "Back Through Time" seems to be summarizing Uhura's part of "City on the Edge of Forever," so I guess they're not all original stories. "Teeny Bopper" most definitely is though!

I read some of them. Basically, some are adaptation (like Sulu's card) and other's not (Like Bopper) the cards doesn't have star dates, so it'll be difficult to place. At lest we know that the board game doesn't have a plot.

anyway, there are missing cards, in the site, so ignoring them for now.

i know this is probably WAAAAY down the line here but there's a doctor who crossover comic that's canon to both franchises called Assimilation^2 that has 4 meet Kirk and crew while 11 meets Picard

That was a fun one! Someone gave me a lunchbox with art from that miniseries.
