TCB's (9 Million) Films to Watch Before You Die

Re: TCB's 1,001 Films to Watch Before You Die

Have you read the book? Cause everyone dies at the end.
Yes I have, and no they don't, it just has a more realistic ending. Inigo starts bleeding really badly and they realize they're going to be on the run for the rest of their lives from Prince Humperdink.
Just post a funny clip from the movie.

Sigh.

1,001 sounds just fine to me.

#86: BIG FISH (2003)

A wonderful fantasy film of storytelling, but really about how it's never too late for reconciliation between father and son.

there's no way that i'm going to read through several hundred movie titles to make sure i'm not repeating one, even if they are all listed together.

Although maybe if they were to be listed alphabetically instead of in order that they were posted, that would make it easier.

You assume there wouldn't be a properly listed way.

But the alphabetical order is a good idea.

#87 Snatch (2000) - So many great one-liners in this film.

"Tyrone, when you back up, things generally come from behind."
"It was a funny angle."

#88 The Green Mile (1999)

Great performances & a perfect atmosphere make this a great adaptation of Stephen King's novel.

#89 Little Miss Sunshine

IMHO, one of the most endearing movies ever made.

#90. Close Encounters of the Third Kind - One of the best Alien films ever made, and easily the best of the "Maybe Aliens aren't so bad" movies. Beautiful, tense, and well acted. It might not be Spielberg's best movie, but it's by far my favorite.

#91. Back to the Future

"Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads..."

That's actually a pretty sweet trailer also.

#92. The Usual Suspects (1995)

I never this movie's magnitude for greatness until a few days ago. It was epic and reminded me, along with A Beautiful Mind, of Kevin Spacey's epicness. A great big recommend.

Shame on you all for letting this thread die. A Curse on both your houses!

#93 Tropic Thunder ( 2008 )

One of my favorite comedies. Great cast and Robert Downey Jr's black man is amazing.

This is a great idea.

#94. Happiness ( 1998 )

An infamous and career-defining film by Todd Solondz about pedophilia, rape, incest, murder, depression, suicide, divorce, loneliness, deceit, suffering and the soul crushing unhappiness of being alive. It's also a comedy! The blackest of black comedies and not for the faint of heart (13 years later and Solondz still has difficulty finding funding for his projects because of the reputation it gave him) but it's one of my favorite films.

There's a hilariously misleading trailer on youtube but the brilliant opening scene probably sums it up best:

#95. The Boat That Rocked (or Pirate Radio in the states)

A movie about a Pirate Radiostation in the 60s. It boasts a cast with some of the funniest british actors and a soundtrack to die for (Seriously, you will download the soundtrack of this movie after seeing it). You will love it.

Supplement: As always, if you find the human body offensive, watch the butchered american version (Pirate Radio). If you are okay with how we look, find a copy of the far superiour british version.
