The Adventure Gaming Thread

I've suddenly developed an inexplicable nostalgic itch to play adventure games from the so-called "multi-media era" of the mid-90s. The quasi-photo-realistic stuff, like Hell, Phantasmagoria, the Tex Murphy games, etc.

Does anybody else have memories of games of that type (fond and otherwise)?

With all the B-list celebs, over-dramatic acting, convoluted gameplay, mid-game disc-switching, etc.

Not really. But I find it strange that a whole thread is dedicated to Adventure Games and non have mentioned the best, after Monkey Island, adventure game series in my opinion: Goblins (Gobliiins, Gobliins and Goblins 3) :?

WORD! I loved those games when I was a kid.

Old school adventure games

Does anyone remember the old school adventure games, Space Quest, King's Quest and Monkey island, before they died out in the post Quake era?

There is nothing, nothing like the Myst series. I-V and Uru were all brilliant. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis was another one I was fond of.

For something a little more recent, Zack and Wiki for the Wii is pretty awesome.
