A fifth film is in development. Paul Walker said, "I've spoken with executives at Universal at this point and they're pretty serious about it." He also suggested it might be set in either Europe, Brazil, Australia or continue where The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift ended. Vin Diesel stated that he wanted to shoot the fourth and fifth movies together. A sequel in Tokyo could be possible because, at the end of Tokyo Drift, Vin Diesel uses a rebuilt version of Letty's 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner from Fast & Furious.
