Ultimate Marvel Presents: The Fisks
"A Rose Among Thorns", Parts 1-4

To the public, he's a controversial Self-Made Tycoon.

To the citizens of Hell's Kitchen, he's the Kingpin.

To Daredevil, he's the Enemy.

To wimpy art student Richard Fisk, he's just... Dad.

And little Richard would do anything to win his dad's favor. But damned if he'll ever admit it. So he puts on a facade of surly, affected self-righteousness towards his vain, domineering Botox-faced mom, Vanessa, spoiled-brat elder sis Carlotta (who has inherited all of her dad's ruthlessness and ambition, with her eye on the entertainment industry), and goonish but well-meaning big brother, Wilson Jr. (who has unashamedly set his sights on becoming heir-apparent to his father's criminal empire). Basically, our Richard is a little bit Julian Casablancas (from the Strokes), one part Holden Caulfield, agumented by some vaguely Goth trappings.

On vacation from his exclusive boarding school in Switzerland, Richard has just arrived in town for the summer, together with best pal, aspiring film-maker Ned Leeds. Problem is, Ned seems more preoccupied with documenting the Fisk family's narcissistic hijinks for his thesis project, rather than comforting his self-absorbed buddy. The only person Richard trusts among his dad's business assocates is the likeable, laid-back gopher Sammy Silke, who urges him to take a more pro-active approach to life.

In the wake of the events of the "Warriors" arc in USM, his father's 'business' is crumbling around him, and there's a rumor spreading that there's a rat -- an undercover FBI agent -- within the organization.

Amidst this chaos, a new masked, leather-clad nuisance has surfaced, taking out Fisk's men with non-lethal force, leaving behind only a Blood Rose as a calling-card.

Who is this dangerous new wild card? Armed with an expensive digi-cam in hand, Ned Leeds hopes to find out. But could the answer be much closer than he realizes?

Ultimate Marvel Presents: The Fisks takes the best elements of TV shows like Arrested Development and The Sorpanos and places them within the narrative rules and shared continuity of the Ultimate Universe, with cameos by Ben Urich, Spiderman, and Moon Knight.

That's cool idea.

This was pretty good. Not up to your normal 'compound' idea standards. :D

As for the Blood Rose, I have no idea... :?

If I were Bill Jemas, I'd turn this into an outrageous deadpan comedy a la Arrested Development.
