I think a hypothetical Goldbergs timeline would have to assume each season happens entirely in 1980 (Season 1), 1981 (Season 2), 1982 (Season 3), regardless of references, just to make everything fit. This works with The Wedding Singer crossover which takes place in 1985 (Season 6).

Slasherverse-wise, if we're going there, Freddy Krueger's appearance happens between the first and second movies, and the in-universe A Nightmare on Elm Street film series has five films released since the script for a movie was made in 1980 (per Freddy's Nightmares). Though, I don't know how Adam Goldberg can die twice in the Hatchet comic. I guess The Goldbergs crossover part could be something he is experiencing as he was dying in the present, thus maintaining continuity with The Goldbergs and the present day Adam's death.

I know there's a lot of critics to Mayfair Witches, but I don't mind it that much. It's actually a decent shared universe, doesn't rely on crazy connections and crossovers... now, I'm sure when Rowen and Lestat meet way down the line, it'll be a lot more important.

Je sais que Mayfair Witches a beaucoup de détracteurs, mais personnellement, ça ne me dérange pas tant que ça. What's up with all the splits?
When continuity diverges, converges, then diverges again in this "Image Universe", post-Shattered Image.
Upon more research, Image's universe works as a fluctuating reality with splinter "sub-realities" as opposed to branched timelines.

A mix between Marvel's branching and DC's Hypertime logic.

I would add that the Image Universe is a megaverse (a Marvel concept: http://www.marvunapp.com/ohotmu/appendixes/omnapp.htm) that is very active within the Omniverse (if that makes any sense).

It might also have something to do with the Immateria from Alan Moore's Promethea (which is now, in a way, part of the DC Multiverse, complicating matters even further).

It would have to be somewhere in-between Marvel's multiverse and DC's megaverse because Mephisto plucked Witchblade into a big crossover event in 1997 or 1998 - plus Wildstorm getting imbedded with DC's comic multiverse.

Like how different Earths in the multiverse exist behind a source wall, and even the Marvel multiverse recently confirmed in a Storm mini-series that they have their own Source Wall, I wonder if the "same space, different universe" applies for multiverses as well. Each with their rules and logic. (5th dimensional imps can reach Marvel's anyways but the 6th dimension they're powerless so we can't really say Image or Marvel is outside of this DC Megaversal plane adrift somewhere in the 6th dimension..)

Sidenote: Cases like Earth-66 for DC I'd argue is just a "vibrational frequency shortcut" to the live-action multiverse but co-existing in both.
Earth-789 is just post-Crisis Earth-12 of that same multiverse but counted as part of the 'grander multiverse' numbering scheme. Similarly, Super Friends (overall) is Earth-1956 but maybe like Earth-15 in its post-Crisis animated multiverse. (Earth-Prime, the Max Fleschier Superman, would be Earth-1941 in that case.)

The Image Universe(s) is (are) theoretically part of the Marvel Megaverse because Image Comics started out at Malibu Comics, has its own version of Angela, who is now a fully owned Marvel character, and in the 90s, translations of some titles (including Spawn) were published by Marvel Italia.

Working on breaking down the Spawn comic timeline:
View attachment 4840
I'm not just lining Spawn up with what Image event Spawn is involved in is closest to chronologically - it's a matter of how Cyan (Al Simmons' daughter) ages through-out Spawn as well.

There are significant time jumps at random points.

Taking into account Cyan's growth and a few other chronological clues, I would shorten the timeframe significantly. I'm leaning towards a period of roughly a year and a half for *Spawn* #1–58.

I'll share a brief analysis of this with you tomorrow or the day after.

Keep in mind Cyan is a few months shy of turning 3 in Spawn #70, it's said so in dialogue.

And Cy-Gor #1-5 are set sometime after Spawn #61 during Christmas time.
Spawn #39 is set on Christmas as well.
The one-shot "Spawn: Simony" is set in 2003, due to a camera monitor date of "19/04/2003" and Cyan is already around 10 or 11 by this point via Spawn #116, listening to Avril Lavenine's Sk8ter Boy (released in late 2002).
Cyan is 17 sometime after her mother Wanda dies around Spawn #251, but The Misery mini-series with her as 17 I'm still determining whether or nor if it's when the powers start to manifest or shortly after they do around Spawn #283 (MUCH later potentially which would create timeline issues...)

Pay very close attention to dialogue, they constantly give how many years pass in-dialogue.

In regards to Spawn, Cyan's aging is literally said by Todd MacFarlane to be a timeline tool for how many years pass in the story.
I can't remember where he said that but I think it was a panel. I'm almost certain, feel to correct me if I am wrong.

At first, I focused on the first 60 issues. Later, I'll go up to around issue 100. I'm taking it step by step. From what I've been able to gather, the way time is measured in *Spawn* is very reliable and involves small time jumps. I'm pretty sure it uses some kind of sliding timescale. Using TV news reports isn't a very reliable way to measure time in *Spawn*.

I'm quite certain about the way time is handled regarding Cyan; it's evident in the way McFarlane writes her. That's why, if Cyan appears in stories written by anyone else, I'll likely pay less attention to those portrayals.

I'll be posting a brief analysis of this (covering the first 58 issues) shortly. I'm working on more material related to the Image Universe.

I love this universe, especially the era spanning the 90s and early 2000s.

I haven't finished reading the entire Spawn yet and am still a long way off from that particular storyline, so I wanted to ask those in the know: how was Chapel's involvement in Al's death handled later on? Was it completely ignored with the narrative treating it as if it had been Jessica Priest all along, or it was a plot twist revealing that while Al was convinced Chapel had killed him, it was actually Jessica?

I dont fully grasp it yet but I think Jessica Priest is who "finished the job". A real Raimiverse Burglar / Flint Marko situation.

CYAN'S GROWTH AND THE TIMEFRAME IN SPAWN

Spawn #3: (First appearance) She can say "mama," walk but immediately wants to be carried by Wanda and doesn't seem to say anything else.

Spawn #5: She sleeps in a crib and seems to only say "mama" and "don't" between babbling and laughing. Also, she can run a little bit but still relies on Wanda to carry her right away. It looks like her teeth have come in, but I'm sure not all of them.

Spawn #6: She loves being picked up and played "airplane" with; she just giggles and doesn't say any other words.

Right around their first birthday, a baby starts dropping single words with actual meaning ("mama," "don't"), enjoys gross motor play (like playing "airplane"), crawls or runs very clumsily while still preferring the safety of their mother's arms, and is right in the middle of teething (which is why she seems to have teeth, though she's likely still missing her molars).

Spawn #12: I'm sure she's depicted in diapers here. She can say "nope," "chess" (yes), "sha-shaw" (Shanna, her dog), "home" (while pointing at her house), "pooh" (her stuffed animal), and "dadt" (while running clumsily toward her dad). She still wants her parents to carry her at the slightest thing and holds Wanda's hand to walk. She also drinks from a baby bottle.

Spawn #13: Still sleeping in a crib. (I'm pretty sure everything from #13 to #15 happens during the same day/night, but I'd need to re-read it more thoroughly; I'm just skimming and relying on memory here).

The emergence of jargon or "imitative babbling" ("sha-shaw" for Shanna, "dadt," "chess") combined with pointing gestures is textbook behavior for a 13-month-old. She's still in diapers, drinks from a baby bottle, sleeps in a crib, and holds Wanda's hand to steady her walk.

Spawn #24: We only see her sleeping in Wanda's arms.

Spawn #27: Still relies on Wanda to carry her, has a tantrum, and you can tell she's missing teeth. She eats in a high chair, falls asleep in her dad's arms, and wears one of those onesies designed to accommodate diapers.

Spawn #28: Still falling asleep in her dad's arms, and now that I notice, her hair is always kept quite short... (I think only one day has passed since the previous issue).

Spawn #29: Still stuck on "Momma" and "Dadt," but she knows how to jump onto her parents' bed.

Using a high chair to eat, having tantrums out of frustration (classic when they want to communicate but can't yet), wearing full-body footie pajamas over diapers, and falling asleep easily in someone's arms confirms she still a baby. The short hair is totally normal; many babies' hair grows very slowly during their first year and a half. The milestone of "jumping onto the bed" shows she has more leg strength and better body control for climbing, which is typical for 14–15 months.

Spawn #35: She mimics her mother playing on the phone and starts using crayons to color. She can also say "gan-ma" (grandma) and likes being tickled: "again! me do again".

Spawn #36 She knows how to form short sentences (questions): "why are you crying?", "Did he make you sad?", "Does my mom-ma know you?". Her hair is still short, but they might just be keeping it trimmed.

Her ability to color with crayons and ask short questions ("Why are you crying?") pushes closer to 17–18 months in the real world, but physically, she's still a short-haired baby. That is why I would place it in the 16–17 month range.

Spawn #39: It's Christmas. We only see Cyan in a photo being held.

Spawn #42: Looks like she still wants to be carried: "Mama. Up. Peez! Up."

Cyan is still asking to be carried ("Mama. Up. Peez!"), showing that walking long distances still tires her out. Her phrase "Mama. Up. Peez! Up." places her closer to the Spawn #35 than the Spawn #36, so I wouldn't want to let too much time pass; I would keep her in the 16–17 month range yet.

Spawn #45: She might be eating some kind of treat at the doctor's office. Wanda visits the doctor due to the dizzy spells from issue #42 (not much time can have passed).

Spawn #46: She wants her dad to pick her up. She finally has pigtails! Little buns. In the previous issue, her hair seemed longer (so maybe it's just natural hair growth with little styling).

Spawn #50: In her high chair playing with her food and spreading it around: "Oh-oh. Mess. Mommy, mess," she playfully apologizes. Still wants to be carried and asks her dad in the hospital to come home: "Daddy! Go home!"

Her hair has finally grown long enough to be tied into two little buns/pigtails (very common at 18 months). Playing with food ("Oh-oh. Mess.") and apologizing is classic behavior for exploring and testing her parents' reactions at this age.

Spawn #50 (2nd story): I think there's a time jump of a week or months in the plot. Cyan now has a little braid and is picking her nose.

Spawn #51: She looks a bit bigger now, can't really tell if she's wearing a diaper. Her hair is long enough for a ponytail. They ask her about Shanna and she answers: "Going stinky poo-poo." She seems to have a fixation on pacifiers, even though she's never been seen with one before. Since there's something mystical going on in the plot, maybe McFarlane is reflecting that age where kids refuse to let go of them.

It is starting with the second story in Spawn #50 that we see a time jump regarding Cyan. Her fixation on the pacifier (used here as a plot device) leads me to believe that, from this point on, her age likely falls within the 18-24-month range.

This is a good breakdown for now. Just keep in mind that in Spawn #54, Cogliostro refers to an event from Spawn #7 as happening "months ago," so years cannot have passed, otherwise he would have said "years ago." Furthermore, in Spawn #58, Andy and Eddie (the abused kids from Spawn #29) arrive in New York, and it's implied that not much more than two months have passed since that event involving Spawn.

Yk guys I might start a 2000s MCU headcanon timeline.... I just feel like that, tho I'd start with arguably the hardest part of the timeline: Spider-Man 3, thanks to the nature of its video games multiple missions path.... tho the only thing we can agree about is that for Spider-Man 3 the canon versions are PS3, PS2 and GBA, the reason is becouse the NDS, Java and Plug-N-Play versions' missions are just adaptations of the other games missions made in a poor-like way. (At least is what I gathered, tell me if I'm wrong ofc)

But (for the Spider-Man's side) it won't be a copypaste of what InnovativeJDawg did in its video, as I want the games to follow their original mission order along with the films' order.

Also I hope @Pro Bot or @selfishmisery won't be angry at me for doing this kind of thread, (cos I'd have to rely on their findings as well) It's all done in a funny and nerdy way.
