Hey, something that's been bugging me about the movies is that whenever they show the trailers, they use some really good music but I can never find out what it is, because the stuff is usually just placeholder material for an unfinished score.

Does anybody know a reliable place to find out the music to the trailers?

Incidentally, I was watching the trailer of Peter Jackson's King Kong and what I found really funny is that they used the same choral tune that was used in the Fantastic Four trailers.

By funny, I mean to say that when Kong shows up to beat the tar out of the T-Rex, (which is exactly where the choral reaches its climax) I keep thinking he's gonna say, "It's CLOBBERIN' TIME!"

That is all.

Hello...My Name is Grocer Man, and I Have an Addiction...

...to trailer music.

You know, that loud, dramatic choir music you hear in all the movie trailers nowadays?

I'm listening to Requiem for a Dream right now. Considering the film it's based on, it's highly ironic.

Requiem for a Dream is probably the most epic song in the history of ever.

Requiem for a Dream is everywhere now. They even play it in the Lost promos.

I'm pretty sure it was in the Underdog trailer.

DAH DAH! CRASH! DUT-DUT-DAH-DAH! CRASH! DUT-DUT-DAH-DAH! DUT-DUT-DAH-DAH-DUT-DUT-DAH-DAH-DUT-DUT-DAH-DAH! CRASH!

Edit: Sorry, It was the Spider-Man 2 trailer music in Underdog. My mistake.

Requiem for a Dream kicks ***.

Trailer music is pretty much done by "Immediate Music" - they specialise in making trailer music. I've got a bunch of their tracks downloaded through emule.

I know exactly what you mean! I'm in love with dramatic choruses, especially when they're belting out stuff in Latin.

Um...I know exactly what you guys are talking about?

Heheheh - the big fight against the African Citadel in #50 was written to Requiem for a Dream. I had an itunes playlist for #50 and each sequence was cued with specific music. :D

I think this should be merged with this thread: http://ultimatecentral.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8607

I love teh trailer musics. Trailers are like, the best parts of a movie strung together. Which is a bad thing if those two minutes of coolness are the only cool parts about a movie, but what the hey.

Voiced by Jason Lee. The weed in the office must have been strong that day.
True. But what if instead of channeling 'classic Jason Lee', they use 'Earl Hickey Jason Lee' to voice Underdog? Wouldn't that be something? :p

I always right the fight scenes to music, it's the only way to do it.

A very well sequenced compilation of trailer music. There are a few misses in transition, but otherwise pretty well thought out for its breadth.

Also, I can sadly depict the trailer moments of at least 5 movies for every cue used.

Oh, **** you ourchair.

Now I am going to torrent 5GB of Immediate Music and X Ray Dog thanks to you.
