The USM 1/2 issue is available in the large Barnes and Noble hardcover edition that collects the first six USM trades, plus the original Spider-man origin story, plus notes and sketches for a few of the USM stories. The HC costs around $50 regular price, but you can sometimes catch it on sale at Barnes and Noble.

A bit pricey, though, if all you want is the 1/2 issue.

So... how come everyone seems to have the two 1/2 issues but me? How did you get them online?

Both the USM and UXM #1/2 issues were mail-away specials through Wizard. I got mine through Ebay for pretty cheap (few bucks each).

In terms of them fitting into the 48 page book, it should work. As was said, they're only 16 or so pages each, and I believe the Golden Age stories will probably be 8 or so pages each.

you could always just go up to Barnes and Noble and read it which is what i did. although, i would like to own it.
