Without turning it into a major discussion, write what you got this week and what you thought. We could add to this thread every week

ULTIMATES 2:
Great issue. Loved Quicksilver being the hero. Not too crazy about the Union tho. Also thought Tony's line was funny.
Cap: Is Natasha this violent at home?
Tony: Only when i ask nicely

ULTIMATE X-MEN:
Loved the art, but wasnt too crazy about the story. I dont like syndicate very much. Sux how we have to wait till the Magneto story to see the actual X-Men. Cool to see Warlock

NEW THUNDERBOLTS
Ok issue, but i wish theyd kept with the regular artist. The guy who did this issue sucked. Nice touch having Songbird have to write out everything since she messed up her voice. I was hoping it would be Atlas that left, but alas, it was Songbird.

MARVEL KNIGHTS SPIDER-MAN
This was an ok issue, not as good as Millars run, but still probably the best of the spidey titles. Liked seeing MJ and Aunt May mingle with the Avengers and Jarvis. Cool seeing absorbing man again, and the Owl's always good to see.

TOXIN
I enjoyed this. I'd never seen King Cobra before and I actually like him. Toxins a tragic character, i cant help but feel sorry that he left his wife and child, whom he obviously loves very much. I hope he gets back to them in the end. Razorfist looks like one violent mo-fo. Also its nice to see Toxin's role model, Spidey!!! Glad I picked this one up

Ultimate Secret
The genius comic book store owner (you've probably seen my rants about his ordering practices before on here) managed to order so few that they sold out within 10 minutes of the UPS guy arriving. So I need to go 30 minutes to the next nearest shop today to get this...

Phoenix: Endsong
I like the new white costume on Jean... and I'm intrigued about the end where it shows one of the Cuckoos evidently waiting for something flamey. Maybe Sophie has now joined Jean in being part of the Phoenix?

Best line? "Dorkus." - Stepford Cuckoos, Re: Quire's crush on Sophie

Day of Vengence: Ragman, The Enchantress, and Detective Chimp meet up in the Oblivion Bar to talk about how to beat the Spector? And wil Blue Devil the bouncer? This series is hitting all the right button on my "DC is damn fun" board. It's introduction of Blckbriar Thorn with a giant splash page was a real treat too. 4/5

My only other pull this week was New Avengers.

ULTIMATE SECRET
Very good issue. Im happy that Gah Lak Tus was mentioned, its pretty cool about the kree and what they're doing. The FF dialogue was great, as was seeing Thor and Iron Man as there escort in the end.

NEW AVENGERS
I just love this group more and more. Spider-Man is really funny in this and now that Wolverines shown up im sure they'll be very entertaining together. Also cool to see Sauron

SUPREME POWER
The best series ever!!! This issue wasnt as good as the ones before it, but it was still pure gold. The best bit for me about this issue was the relationship between Dr. Spectrum and Amphibian. I cant wait to see where this goes

Ultimate Secret #2: I really want to go start picking up UFF now. I love the Reed/Sue and the Johnny/Ben/Reed interaction. All the biting... ear biting, neck biting, *** biting... I love this Sue.

It really isn't the same Sue in UFF.

TOXIN #2
Im loving this series. This issue starts when Toxin stops a robbery. Pat loses contol of his symbiote and it badly hospitilizes the 2 robbers. Patrick gets mad at the symbiote, which doesnt understand what it did wrong. Later, the symbiote wants to come out, but Patrick says its grounded, in which the symbiote sulks. Later, when Pat finds Razorfist and is getting beaten up, he wants Toxin to come out, but the symbiote wont come out, instead.....the symbiote makes Pat look like a nerd by giving him glasses and nerd clothes, hahaha.

SPIDER-MAN: BREAKOUT #2
Good miniseries, nothing too exciting happened in this issue, but i do like the villain interaction. And we see the Owl in this issue too :D

MARVEL KNIGHTS SPIDER-MAN #14
Better then last issue, the art still urks me a little tho. I liked the "prayer" scene with Pete and that new guy.

ULTIMATE X-MEN #59
Meh, nothing much happened here. Still dont like Storm.....

THUNDERBOLTS #8
Great issue! This is one of the most fun titles at the moment. I love how Speed Demon tries to be both a hero, and a villain, working with the shocker in his "whizzer" costume. Im also really enjoying the brotherly relationship with the arrogant Speed Demon, and Blizzard, who tries to do good but is not confident and often peer pressured by Speed Demon.

COMIC OF THE WEEK: TOXIN!
2ND BEST: THUNDERBOLTS
WORSTE: ULTIMATE X-MEN

Are we only doing non-Ultimate picks?

For 5/25...

Excaliber #14 - This series is terrible. I almost fell asleep reading this issue, and just skipped ahead to see what leads into House of M. And it was....nothing. I wasn't surprised. Grade: F

Fantastic Four #527 - Great read! This is JMS's first issue and although I'm not too sure on the art (McKone), I like what JMS is doing already. This reminds me of early Waid FF, and that is a very good thing. Grade: A-

Those are the only non-Ultimate books I've read so far...

No no. For all the titles you got this week. Ultimate Titles included

That's redundant. Each Ultimate issue gets an entire thread in the appropriate forum.

Day of Vengence #2: Eclipso and The Spector are gettin together for some down and dirty punishment of sinners. Add that to Ragman misreading the Enchantress, and Detective Chimp, who is apparently immortal, trying to set up backup plans and you've got another good issue I'm enjoying. 4/5

OMAC #2: Eh. Strong first issue, but not enough happens here. We basicly just get to see everyone else find out what Batman already knows, and a bit of internal dialoging from him about the mindwipe. Deffinatly disapointed. 2.5/5

Green Lantern #1: Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Green Lantern is back, and it looks like Manhunters might be on his tail. Unfortunatly Johns decided to start the restoration of Coast City here, and I just don't buy it. After all this time (10 years real world, atleast 2 or 3 comic time) getting support to rebuild would be nearly impossible. It is kinda cool to see Hal constantly have to explain where he's been. 3.25/5

Haven't read my others yet.

And it the individual threads make more sense because we can bounce our opinions and ideas back and forth at each other. But if you really really have to say your opinions within a more fomal context, you could always do a Review.

Look at me, I think I'm a moderator now.
