I do variations of celebrity's and my own. Except with the character's that you think should have unique "voices," then, it's totally original.

Every character I read sounds like Random.

That gotta be creepy when it comes to the girls.

A lot of mine arn't original. Some of them played the part of these characters in cartoons, movies, and video games. I think some of them are perfect for the voice, like Edward Asner. I think he has the perfect voice for J. Jonah Jameson.

Do I even want to know what Random sounds like? Cause if it's creepy......I mean, I even get scared if someone imitates Donald Duck so I guess I don't want to know.

Neat question.

Batman - Gregory Peck

The Joker - various pitches of Mark Hammil, depending on the incarnation

Darkseid - Michael Clarke Duncan

Superman - It depends. Usually just a normal voice, but occasionally I kind of give him John Schneider-as-Pa-Kent's voice.

Hal Jordan - Pretty much the only character who sound like me

Generally speaking, I like your picks, watcher.

For me, it depends on how they're drawn and written.

Sometimes I have difficulty reconciling voices used in certain 'definitive' incarnations with how they may be written or drawn in the comics. For example, Justice League Unlimited uses a very top-notch cast... but in DC: The New Frontier I couldn't get Carl Lumbly to really work right with how Martian Manhunter was written.

However, Ioan Gruffudd does work for Reed Richards in Ultimate Fantastic Four, but in Mark Waid's Imaginauts/Unthinkable, he reads like John C. McGinley's voice for JLU's Ray Palmer/Atom. Both incarnations of Sue are a mix of Tara Charendorff-Strong.

For X-Books, I find Hugh Jackman relatively acceptable for most incarnations of Wolverine. He works in most stories, regardless of tone or writing, which I think is a testament to the actor. I really do like Cathal J. Dodd from the 90s X-Men series, but it seems kind of silly when you use him in a story that is ostensibly less cartoony.

On a random note, I generally hate Rino Romano as a voice actor.

I don't really use voices. When I'm reading something I generally focus on the words themselves, the corresponding images, and my own perceptions, rather than any imagined sounds. Sometimes I concentrate on a particular scene, though, and imagine the voices.

I admit sometimes, just sometimes, I hear one voice and one voice only while I read.

The monkey from the Simpsons episode where Homer goes into space. The one that came back super intelligent.

I am not joking. His line "No, I don't think we'll be telling them that" is something I say very often and that voice just come out a lot.

Yeah, I don't hear voices in my head. You're all nuts.

^^

But I think I'm just not creative enough to do so.

This is exactly what I do too, but when I'm purposely thinking of the voices in a scene the ones I listed are who I hear.

When I'm purposefully thinking of voices, I think the most obvious one for me is Kevin Conroy as Batman.
