Who am I game {Video Games}

* I have had various globe-trotting adventures involving strange artefacts.
* I have an attractive female associate.
* ... but she is not Asian.
* I have never appeared in a movie in "real life".
* I don't actively seek out my adventures, so much as they find me.

Lara croft

It's not Pitfall Harry. I'm not familiar with the later games, so if Harry teamed up with an attractive female associate later on, i'm not aware of it. However, if you're referring to his niece, Rhonda, from Lost Caverns, then you're a ****ing paedophile, because if my memory serves me correctly, she's meant to be, like, 12 or something. (Rhonda's age notwithstanding, there was never anything in the series that explicitly suggested that she was meant to be attractive to begin with.)

Oh, and when did Bruce Campbell ever voice Harry?

It's not meant to be Solid Snake. I'm not certain how well he fits all my clues, but I'm fairly certain that, as an operative of Foxhound/the CIA/Philanthropy (take your pick), he's given specific mission assignments. Hence, it would not be accurate to say that he fits the last clue.

It's obviously not Lara Croft, because she has appeared in two feature films of debatatable quality, so she doesn't fit the fourth clue.

Here are some extra clues:

- My first game was released initially for the PC, then later ported to the PlayStation 1.
- This one should be a dead give-away: I have a Law degree.

sorry

The guy from Broken Sword, George Stobbart.

I had a demo of that game, and it ruled. I also remembered you bringing it up in the Adventure Games thread, and he seems to fit all the clues.

Bingo!

Was starting to think I'd picked a character too obscure.

He also starred in its various sequels, including The Smoking Mirror, The Sleeping Dragon, and this year's The Angel of Death, so he's not without at least a modest cult following (appropriate, considering his main nemeses are a cult of Neo-Templars).

I did have to wiki his name. :D

Alright, here comes my crappy knowledge of video games...

- I wield an obscure weapon
- I've met characters not limited to video games

Nope.

A few more guesses and I'll add another clue.

- I was the main character in one game of a popular franchise.

I wouldn't consider him the main character of his game, but it's getting closer...

- I've appeared in another two games, where I met many different characters.
