If Marvel/DC/etc. put out a baseball video game of their characters, who would be on your team, and what would the team be called?

I think the way they should do it, if they ever did one, is to have it like the way its done in Mario Baseball, where you can use their powers/strength as a special, whether its for pitching or batting.

For just a Marvel team:

My team: Icy Men

Pitcher: Bullseye

Catcher: Thing

1st Base: Cyclops

2nd Base: Invisible Woman

Short Stop: Nightcrawler

3rd base: Iron Man

Left Field: Spider-Man

Center Field: Iceman

Right Field: Sentry

DH: Hulk

Reserves:

Human Torch
Wolverine
Captain America
Storm
Jean Grey (Pitcher)
Mr. Fantastic
Nova
Atlas
Hawkeye (Pitcher)

Marvellous

Pitcher: Hulk - Who could hit his pitches with out it breaking the bat?

Catcher: Jean grey - Can control the ball so even if it is hit it can stay still and go to her hand.

1st Base: Wolverine - Just because.

2nd Base: Spider-girl - fast and good at sports plus webbing for catching

Short Stop: venom - strength helps and his webbing can help him catch

3rd base: Invisible woman - and one tries to get past her and she can block them with that psychic thing she does

Left Field: Spider-man - Webbing helps him catch

Center Field: Mr Fantastic - can cat anything with his stretching

Right Field: Prof X - Physically make anyone's balls go to his hands

DH: Iron Man - no idea what this rule is so I added him

Team Xtreme!

Pitcher: Hawkeye

Catcher: Apocalypse

1st Base: Galactus

2nd Base: Hulk

Short Stop: Juggernaut

3rd base: Thor

dh is designated hitter.

what does that mean?

 it's like I understand designated and I understand hitter but put them together and it makes 0 sense to me

Um...do you even understand how baseball works? It's pretty straightforward.

Most of it.

but a dh no. It sounds like the dh replaces the pitcher so two people bat at each other? but makes no sense to me. because then who pitches to them?

No. Pitchers suck at hitting, so a DH hits instead, when the pitcher is supposed to be at bat.

This is because, as Joe pointed out, Pitchers are halfeletes.

Okay, I'll do this without screaming or swearing.

In baseball, the pitcher has to bat when his team does. Against the other team's pitcher. There are nine players on each team, and so nine positions in the batting order.

The designated hitter does not play in the field, he only bats, taking the pitcher's place in the lineup. Conversely, the pitcher does not bat, he only plays in the field.

I already explained it. And he was all like "oooh, now I get it" and I was all like "Yeah, that's 'cause I'm an awesome teacher" unlike Joe Kalicki.
