Ultimate Spiderman #102 discussion (Spoilers)

I'm not saying that you don't have an argument. I just hate Ultimate MJ and see her as the most evil demon-slut in the long history of female chicanery and deception.

Is that so wrong??

(I'm not saying that the Kitty/Peter relationship thrills me, but at this point anyone's less annoying than Mary Jane. "Oooh, I fell of a bridge, feel sorry for me!" Deal with it.)

And she got thrown off a freakin' bridge! she almost died. It tends to phase most people, even people as strong as MJ. Give her some more time to keep growing up, and she'll be even better.

You know I never seen her say anything like that through out the whole series. She only wrote it in her diary once, and brought up one time when her dad read it and Peter thought she may have been traumatized by it (understandably so), and he uses it as an example why she's always indanger when that comes up. So really she's only mentioned it once and since then it has only been brought up by other people. So in fact she is the only one saying "don't feel sorry for me". So do you have any better reasons why you find her annoying, or do you just dont like her.

She's whiney, acts crazy, clings to Peter and is way too emotional. She can't handle his life as spider-man.

Oh, and I "Just don't like her".

I just don't like her is my unabashed reason not liking Kitty. She reminds me of all the snotty pretty girls in high school, who would "captivate" the boys and take them from their girlfriends. The term we use is "boyfriend stealer". She got in between Bobby and Rogue, and now she is in between Peter and MJ. But that is entirely besides the point. We are all entitled to our opinions.
Most teenage girls are like that, Kitty is no exception. At least MJ had her moments ( like in 65 ) in redeem her.

errr rogue got between bobby and kitty, not the other way around

Anyone remembers the break up??? Peter left her cuz of his paranoias. And the way Clones behave is the perfect reflection to that!!!
"Oh! an explosion a thousand miles away from queens , gotta save mj!!!",
"Oh! Bin Laden makes another speech , gotta save mj!!"

It's peter's paranoia that made him date Kitty , because she can't be touched as long as she doesn't want to.

Mj didn't want to leve Peter , she loves him , she cares about him , and she worries about him. When Peter gets shot she is the one to get him to ER , and she doesn't even have super powers!!! And they have a twisted relationship all because of Spider-Man , not because of MJ's teen-ish actions.

On the other hand Peter and Kitty's every problem is because of Kitty's teen-ish actions. See the crappy Deadpool story?? It does some good.

I want MJ back in Peter's life and as much as she can be there , because she deserves to be there.

Umm...what? Peter's not paranoid. Mary Jane is stupid. And her complete lack of intelligence was going to get her killed. End of story. She dosn't deserve anything. I don't really care how much she loves Peter, and it dosn't really matter. You'll have your way soon enough. Bendis is going to put them back together and then we'll have the luxery of reading countless angst-filled story lines that he loves so much. After all, that's the reason that I read Super-Hero comics: Because I can't get enough of Teenage whores complaining about their lives.

As for all the Kitty bashing...well, at least she can handle herself if she gets in a bad situation. She has phasing powers. I'm kind of sick of the "OMG MJ GOT KIDNAPPED!! SAVER HER, PETER! SAVE, HER!" It would be best if she was killed in a 616-Gwen-Stacy-fashion. Sure, we'd have lots of annoying flash-backs and Parker-angst, but eventually he'd get over it.

Word,And Kitty can actualy help in a fight insted of getting in the way.

And im guessing Norman will kill MJ eventualy..he has to do something to put him high on the Spiedy rouges like when he killed Gwen in 616.
 
You see I have no problem with him trying to give her powers. Cause he was trying to protect her and it made sense. But he shouldn't have been able to do it.

I think I actually would of enjoyed it better if she turned into a normal goblin. A red variant of the other two. And I could even she that as Ultimate Demogoblin.

Now before you jump down my throat. I think it would could work if it was pulled off right. That ever since Peter became Spider-Man, everyone close to him as been damaged and affected.

Harry became hobgoblin, I can see the logic that a deranged clone of Peter who wants to protect MJ want to give her powers. He wants to protect her the only way he can think of.

It's all about the pulloff. And the Oz-wolf is just stupid. No way around that.

She should of gone uncontrollable and Peter had to put her down before Fury did.

Defiently. Right now, Osborn isn't Peter's Arch-nemesis the way that he is in 616. I'm guessing that this will be rectified by him doing something extra horrible. Like...oh say...killing Mary Jane. Of course, everyone on this site will yell and scream and riot...but it's for the best. If I remeber correctly, the MJ-Peter relationship started out as a sort of brief fling, whereas everyone figured he'd end up with Gwen. And we all know how that turned out.

We would not if it was actually done right with proper follow through. See when Gwen died it was poorly done, after it the detention issue was a good one to follow it but the rest (SuperStar, Switcheroo) was not. Like when Beast died in X-men, many of us were upset cause he was a cool character, but its was done pretty well with a good follow through. He was killed in a sentinel attack not by a ****ed up clone thing and it change Storm's character dramtically. I really dont want him to kill off MJ cause I know it will be a very crappy story and I tried of subjecting my eyes to that.
 
When I was wrote about Gwens' death I was talking about 616...

And you're right. Ultimate Gwen's death totally sucked. She just died out of the blue...and then Peter sulked for half an issue. And then it was over. Beasts' death was better.

I'm sick of MJ. She just needs to be gone. I don't care how it's done.

You know what's funny? Bendis wrote both deaths.

Although, I suppose the impact of it was best conveyed by Vaughan and Kirkman.

Wasn't that the shocker about 616 Gwen's death though? It was out of the blue? He didn't just sulk, it eventually phased him to the point where he broke up with MJ so she would be safe.

Yeah but it was poorly done all around. Nothing wrong with killing someone out of the blue, if it is done right
 
There's the difference: both were totally random, but the 616 death was well written and...I don't know...tragic. But the Ultimate one just seemed rushed...little to no impact.

Because the worst part was the timing - Wolverine month was coming up, and right after she died they went into the 2 joke issues where he swaps bodies with Wolverine. If I recall there was NO mention of her death in either issue.

Yeah, that came later though. I'm talking the next two issues immediately following the incident - no mention.

There should have been an arc of just Peter dealing with that.
