Indiana Jones 4

Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade was in 1989, and set in 1938. If the movie comes out in 2007, 2007 - 1989 = 18, it will have been 18 years since the last movie. 1938 + 18 = 1956. It would make sense to have it around 1956, with Indiana 56/57 years old, perhaps being pulled from early retirement to investigate some Soviet mishap.
 
It'll be great to have the interaction between Harrison Ford and Sean Connery again... The third movie was great just having them bicker back and forth, you know? The third was easily the best of the three... So, I hope this fourth one is no different.

I don't think he ever had a touch in the first place. However, I think the only person at Lucasfilm sadder than George Lucas is his ***-kisser, Rick McCallum.

Indiana Jones is not one of them.

The fact that Speilberg, Ford and Lucas all love the script, the fact that there will be no CG, and the fact that Lucas didn't write the script all point to good things.

I'm not saying Lucas is the only reason I'm against this, but scripts aren't the only thing that Lucas is bad at.

George Lucas being allowed to make another film is just as bad as Orson Scott Card on Ultimate Iron Man. Maybe even worse.

Even the prequels weren't as bad as UIM.
 
The newer Star Wars were not what they're cracked up to be. George sacrificed a story for the good of CG. We all know this.
 
I actually enjoyed the Star Wars prequels a great deal. I was always more interested in the Clone Wars and the whole Jedi/Sith idea more than the original trilogy.

I told Ice my Indy IV plot idea, and I'll have to type it up later on.

Not true. He did a great job with use of technology that's offered today. He sacraficed it for the sake of little kid, fate is coincidence, really bad dialogue bull****.

I voted Indiana Jones 4. It's not surprising to see the majority of the site vote for a comic book movie. Robert Downy Jr. can't ever convince me that he's Tony Stark so I dont see just how *great* (although it will hopefully be good) it can be. With Harrison Ford behind the project (not just Lucas) there's a shot it will still be epic.

I enjoyed watching the prequels on the big screen. I still think they are awful movies. For me, enjoying a movie (and not in a MST3K way, mind you) and regarding them as awful are not mutually exclusive feelings.

I'm not very difficult to please as a moviegoer, and tend to regard entertainment value and spectacle as pleasurable aspects by themselves. I don't subscribe to the idea that a director's competence or a screenwriter's talent as being the sole merit to judge your enjoyment of a film.

That said, I tend to like movies a lot more than my criticism of them suggests. Therefore, Spielberg/Lucas will probably make a ****ty Indiana Jones that I will enjoy, as perplexing as that might sound to some.

I did too, to an extent. I really enjoyed Revenge of the Sith, and there were parts of Attack of the Clones and The Phantom Menace that were very good, but, overall, they were inferior to the originals.

Still, with both Spielberg and Ford behind IV and with Lucas' little involvement, I can see it being much more true to the original three Jones movies than the Star Wars prequels were to original trilogy.

As for Indy 4, I'll surely check it out. I was never a huge fan of the other 3 (they're entertaining and fun, but nothing special in my opinion). I do look forward to seeing how they'll incorporate the later time setting, the older character (and actor), and just how it'll turn out overall.

I mean come on! He found the Holy Grail and the Cup O Jesus! What the hell else can he find that can compare to that!?!?! This is a waste of studio money.
