Ultimate Spiderman #104 discussion (Spoilers)

I'm thinking about forming a book burning posse at Wizard World. A bunch of people gather and just burn copies of USM. I think the idea will catch on.

If you seriously do this, and I can make it to Wizard World, I will join you.

I love book burning. So, are you going to buy even more copies of USM to burn, or are you just going to beat up a bunch of ten year olds and steal their copies? I'd go with the beat up ten year olds strategy... when they're older, they'll appreciate you saving them from losing "geek cred" by liking the book, plus you get to beat up little kids. What's not to lose?

Sounds good to me.

I got lost somewhere around the whole "USM burning ritual" (which, by the way, is a fantastic idea.)

About USM 104-

Everything about this issue was crap, minus the scenes and art. For the art, the exception to me was the MJ as the creature scene. Not so good there. The most horrible part? The dialogue. Honestly, it was just too childish. Most ESPECIALLY in the Fury/Gyrich scene. All it really was:

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah!"

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah!"

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah, well...YOUR MOM!"

Bah!!

Uh...whose member? :sure:
Just throw all of Toggy. He said you looked fat in your new dress.

Wait a minute...the eggheads at the baxter building, who've been working for ages on a cure for Ben who's part of the team but really wants to be normal again. but they manage to find a cure for spiderman in their spare time. well i suppose it's plausible, just a bit silly

I think the FF transformation is a bit more complicated than just sciences. I only say this because of Man-Thing's appearance.

I'd be more inclinced to call it "stupid", but yeah, I agree.

Read my post on it - I said that it was stupid that Dr. Storm said he didn't have complete notes, but then all of the sudden he has a complete cure. Idiotic.

BWAHAHAHA!
It's that horrible. The entire 8 issues---keyword is 8 issues...not 3, not 4, not even 6.....****ing 8---were all summed up in one panel by like 2 sentences. That's 8 issues of nothingness.

I dunno, I think for once Bendis had his eye on the single issue audience rather than trades. He actually made an effort to make a story which would blow minds on a monthly basis and, if anything, wouldn't work quite as well collected without the monthly gap to go "What in hell is going on?"

So, if Peter and Jessica Drew had a baby, does that mean it would grow up to look exactly like one of them, except +- either the boob-coochie deluxe or the super-tuff penis collections?

hhmm.... That would be weird.
