I think it didn't suck until the panel where "Richard Parker" first appeared. And even then, the MJ and Kaine and Tarantula plotline had potential until the last page of 101.

No, it would still suck. Because it made no sense. Because of Gwenage. Because of "Richard". Because of Ultimate Doctor Octamagnetopus. Because Bendis can't spend a page on their origin but wastes over half of issue 100 on "Richard"'s fake memories.

It was all just an elaborate plot to bring Gwen back and bring in Spider-Woman.
He thought we wouldn't notice if he put in a bunch of other crap that was a thousand times more sucky.

She was especially annoying in this issue.

I agree with you. And Kaine and the Tarantula were completely wasted. Both dead, nothing special. They had huge potential to be good characters.
However, I think the stuff with Jessica and the drama between May, MJ and Peter redeemed the arc at the end. 105 was a very good issue.

Please. I don't want to see multiple Peter Parker's running around. Where do you think the good stories will come from that? There won't be any. They served their time. The only bad thing about them was useing the names Kaine and Tarantula. That's called wasted ultimizations, given the names not the concept.

Actually, neither of them were named, not even unofficially. Bendis just said Tarantula would be showing up in the clone saga, but he never said who it was.
They don't even get Wikipedia entries, poor things. I had such high hopes that the epilogue would involve Fury looking at the clones' files with names. Unfortunately, this did not come to pass.

Back on #106. Forunately, the mess that was the Clone Saga isn't leaking over into this fresh storyline. Clones are a bad idea, no matter how revised they were... Supposed to be, that is.
