Here are a few drawings I did the other day during my AP US History class. Keep in mind that I'm a kid in high school who's never taken a class in drawing; not a professional artist. However, any feedback would be totally teh awesome.

I decided to put my own stuff on here after looking through Moonmaster's art. Mine isn't as good as his, but here are a few samples.

Here's a pic I did of a young (possibly teenage) Superman. Redesigned the costume and used the Kingdom Come symbol because the normal Superman symbol is too hard to draw. For me, anyway. It's unfinished, but I doubt I'll ever get around to drawing everything else in.

A couple "Bruce Wayne" sketches I did the other day. These are from a story idea I had a while back, kind of a "What if" where the Wayne family fortune died with Bruce's parents' death. Never really did anything with the story, but I've been sketching the Bruce I pictured for it every since.

A quick Matt Murdock I did. You can see the beginings of him in the Daredevil outfit on the bottom.

I may post more later if people end up liking what I've drawn.

The Murdock ones are the best, and the Bruce Wayne on the far upper right. I like the way you did Murdock's suit. The sketchy look works well for your art.

The three-quarter view faces look kind of flat, like the perspective's off, and there's something weird about the proportions of Superman.

Better than Liefeld.

Is this a compliment?

I love your faces. They've got a great, expressive, sort of "indy" quality about them.
Is this a compliment?
You tell me:

pretty good for a kid without any formal training. I'm impressed. I too didn't have any training (and here I am talking like my art days were so long ago... when they were just a year and a half ago).

the superman sketches are okay. 3 of the four batman sketches I really like though, and the Murdock ones are also very good.

I think most people will like your Murdock sketches best, and the reason behind this, I think, is because your eyes are a little off in some of them (though not all). Keep in mind that eyes are not usually bigger than the mouth. I know it might be an aspect of your style, but if it is, then you need a little more consistency with the eye shape. And keep in mind, as you go from a frontal view to a side view of a face, the shape of the eye changes from an oval to an angle (like <) .

Come to think of it, I actually like the idea of Matt Murdock with no eye holes in his mask; it looks kinda cool. Of course, this would instantly give away that he is blind, but nevertheless...

Your figures are pretty good; try to keep the arm size the same on both sides (see: Superman's forearms). I like Superman's hands, they look good. On Bruce Wayne's side view, his ear should be a little bit higher. Think about when you put on sun glasses, and where the rims of those sit on your head.

On a final note, I like that Murdock seems to be looking off blankly. I think any artist who does this draws the greatest distinction b/w Murdock and Daredevil. It's kinda like his "Superman/Clark Kent glasses"- the actual act of looking blind ads to the illusion that he can't "see" when the reader knows he can (with his radar).

K that's all. Good job.

EDIT: nice Moonmaster. well done, good sir.

Folks, the commentary on this thread is now not only veering off-topic, but reaching the "totally tasteless" stage. Rein it in before I have to start deleting posts.

Let's get the focus back on Wade's work, please.
