So if I mean IF there was an Ult. Batman what would Ult. Joker look like? Would he have the white skin? Whould he still wear the zoot suit? What is your vision of an Ult. Joker?

Would he have the white skin?

I wouldn't read it if he didn't.

Whould he still wear the zoot suit?

I think it's mandatory that he wears it more often than any other costume, but it doesn't rule out stuff like trechcoats and one-piece clown outfits.

I do insist that his zoot suit be purple, white, or black though.

I was doing an Ultimate batman but am not any more (letting someone take over if they wish) but this is how I saw ultimate joker

only green hair

yeah

I think his look in that photo is perfect for a modern version of joker

I agree with Planet-man. I'm sick of all these Gothy-interpretations of Joker. He's not just some psycho killer, his a crime boss. He has crime schemes, not just crazy murderous insanity. I like the tuxedo Joker with the slicked back hair. I don't even like him all that crazy.

On another topic, the Goth Alice in Wonderland and Oz interpretations gotta go too. Those stories are dark enough on their own.

but the gothic look has been hot for years.

The gothic look and feel is great. It works with a character like joker very well. It would not work on someone like Lex Luthor but Joker is clown-like in looks.

Clowns scare alot of people then add the psychotic mind and as people know I don't dc any more but I use to and still would rank Joker one of the greatest comic book characters ever

Well I like him plenty crazy, and he does do his fair share of murderous insanity, but that still has nothing to do with goth.

The Joker is just so above all of that. He's the guy that all these goths idolize but would **** their pants and re-evaulate their lives if they ever met him(assuming he let them live).

Don't even get me started.

So has the grunge look, the punk look, the emo look, the japanese anime androgynous look, and the modern upper-class clean designer look.

The Joker's not here to conform to some stupid teenage fashion fad.

What do clowns have to do with goths? The fact that goths have capatalized on the popularity of clown-phobia?

Clowns scare alot of people then add the psychotic mind

Once again.... where does goth fit into this?

Because like he was in suit he was not a scary clown. He was cool I admit but when they add more Gothic feel to him he becomes more twisted and scary and it suits it better.

I don't see the Joker I posted as goth at all. Actually, I see nothing goth about him. What I see is a dishelved, possibly homeless psychopath. The Joker is psychopathic to the bone, and in reality, true textbook psychopaths don't care about their appearance, they don't care what other people think, they just don't care. In an Ultimate DCU, which would presumably be realistic like Marvel's, Joker, too, would be realistic, and thus his clothes would fit accordingly.

And if you notice, his baldness isn't natural, it's on angle. I think it adds to creepiness of it. Quite frankly, I'd be much more afraid of seeing that guy in an alleyway that a clown with gelled hair and a purple dress suit.

And I'm pretty sure The Dark Knight is going to be going the darker route like this to fit the darker realism.

What's "textbook" about the Joker?

I think a lot of people around here just don't get what the Joker's supposed to be. He's not some standard knife-wielding maniac, and he doesn't rely on generic disheveledness to scare people. You can "not be afraid" of a clown in a sharp suit all you want. You'll still be dead at the end of the encounter.

Yeah but I see it as Joker is Batman's oppersit but still close enough personality wise to **** him up.

Both have

  • some kind of troubled past (jokers just made him insane though)
  • no powers
  • rely on mind games to get the upper hand

now he may not be the anti-batman in terms of bizzaro to superman or Venom to Spidey but still similar in a lot of way which adds to them been such good enimes for each other

Batman wearing the outfit and using the cape to fly down like a bat is mainly to scare his enimes. I think Joker would have the same idea going and be closer to my idea of him which is the pic I posted.

How ever he should never be TOO different e.g The Batman joker

You're still looking at it from a comic book point of view. In a realistic setting, that simply wouldn't work.

Because, you know, the Joker can't still look like the Joker if he looks dark and realistic.

Dude, I think I'm the one who posted that picture in the first place(if not, I saw it here and proceeded to post it on all sorts of other boards). I think that's exactly how he should look. But it's nothing like the detached, disheveld, bald, homeless loonatic you're describing. He could easily sport that look and wear an purple or black suit.
