Fantastic 4 cartoon News

So, I finally got around to watching Doomsday.

From the 10 minutes I saw of the episode, Doom seems pretty close to the comics. Main difference: he got his powers the same way the FF did. I can live with that though. I also read somewhere that at some point, he'll shoot the Baxter Building into space.

That's awesome.

But I don't think I'll watch this again. Not that good. The Teen Titans movie that came on afterwards was far better.

Many problems. The biggest one was how the hell was the thing overcome by one doom bot and then takes out three in 5 seconds after busting out of dooms cell. THis show sucks and there was really no point to capture the other three at all. Either way the first episodes are crappy and I'm not expecting much from the iron man or dr. strange cartoons now.

Hey UA was barely better. That's like a fat kid losing to Randy moss by 1 minute rather than 1 minute and a half compared to the other fat kid.

I didn't understand that reference at all. And yeah....Im not sure if Im gonna keep watching this.

i actually thought the last few eps were ok. as far as im aware this cartoon is being shown at 8pm on a staurday night? i think that is a terrible time for it to be shown at.

Marvel Babies we're always there for you... Marvel babies we'd do the same for you...

Marvel Babies would be better if they were Minimates instead.

i remember the guy who draws those marvel babies was on some comic book forum and he talked about how he got a deal with marvel. i remember thinkin "WTF?!?! where the **** is my deal for my smoking spidey!!!?!?!"

I saw some episodes over YouTube a couple months ago.

First off, I REALLY like the opening themesong. It has a very nice sci-fi mystery vibe going for it, and it's too bad that this vibe does not seep into any other aspect of the cartoon itself as it makes it the ONLY good thing about it.

I think I can tolerate some of the problems with the lip animation. While it's annoying that they chose to use flap movements instead of actually forming the lip movements around words, I suspect this was done solely to make foreign language adaptation easier... making it easier to use in European and Asian syndication.

However, the characterization is a little weak and the voice acting itself is a little too earnest. Everyone sounds like Californian teenagers, which I think is a VO problem that plagues almost all the anime-inspired cartoons from America (including Teen Titans which I think is unfairly disliked by some here at UC, even if i don't actually like it myself).

Okay, I'm watching the first episode on the DVD of this, Doomed, right now. It's just awful. the character designs, the voices. . . it's all so bad.

The only good thing is that they're adapting a classic FF story. I don't know why this was a TV show instead of a direct to DVD movie like Marvel's other properties. It doesn't give me hope for Spider-Man or Wolverine and the X-Men.

Why are the DVD episodes out of order? Who knows.

I actually like the Ultimate Avengers and Iron Man movies. I'm assuming this show is in the same universe now that all the Marvel cartoons are being done by the same people. Maybe a crossover would get me excited. . .

Okay, so I just watched the Hulk episode of this. I guess it has nothing to do with Ultimate Avengers at all. How lame is that? What's the point of having all the Marvel licenses in the same house if they're all goiong to contradict each other? Even the old 90s cartoons didn't do that.

I hated the first one. Refused to even look at the second one.

You said this FF had nothing to do with UA... is that somehow because this FF isn't the Ultimate Fantastic Four?

I don't see how that should matter. Iron Man is the same character from Ultimate Avengers and he's clearly based on 616 Tony.

Yeah UA is only based off Ultimates doesn't mean everything in it has to be from the ultimate universe

What's even worse is that they're bringing Season 2 back to Cartoon Network.

Or mayeb what's even worse than that is that there actually is a Season 2.

Stupid Marvel and their shameless summer-tie ins.

This is coming on to uk tv soon.

The new sky guide has the date in the kids booklet. I've lost it but will find it soon.

I know everyone's saying this sucks but I want to at least check it. Hoping it's like teen titans
