Wall*E discussion [spoilers]

Re: Wall*E: The Next Disney/Pixar Film.

Cars is the only Disney/Pixar film which I had no desire to see from the get-go and nothing since then has piqued my interest. They only other one I haven't seen yet is Ratatoullie, but you better believe I'm going to see that on DVD as soon as I can.

I'm with you, never saw Cars.

I can't wait for this one though. I love how there is a theme in everyone of these movies, like a good point that touches something inside of you.. if that makes sense. Anyway I got tears in my eyes watching Monsters inc, im sure this will do the same for me1

Re: Wall*E: The Next Disney/Pixar Film.

Oh my god. This is how young you are. That scares me.

SHORT CIRCUIT is a cute little film that for my generation, was like... ET 2: THE SEQUELIFICATION. It was HUGE, everyone loved it, and it's one of those things that was much beloved in its time and since then has become a kitsch nostalgia love like the NES or David Hasslehoff. It also had a sequel, which was also funny too.

Great 80s stuff, but I dunno how well it's aged. :D

Yeah, I read the Wiki article, grandpa.

I'm not as crazy about that trailer. The first one started off showing him as a piece of equipment, and then in the last few seconds had him look to the stars and everything. This one starts right off the bat by showing him as more caring and sensitive than almost anyone I've ever met, then working the scrap heap for a while, then having him "go against his programming" by looking at the sky. That's supposed to be surprising at this point?

Pixar's usually so good at this stuff too.:?

Re: Wall*E: The Next Disney/Pixar Film.

I wonder if there'll be any other major characters in the movie or if the whole thing will be told from Wall-E's view, obscured by spaceships and armour and stuff, with barely glances at the orchestrators, except for maybe at the end.

Either way, sweet.
