Who is the most evil character in the marvel universe? Has to be human, demons don't count.

Re: Most evil person in Marvel Universe

Joe Quesada for letting terrible writing be printed.

Um, Doctor Doom. His name pretty much implies that not only is he smart, but he brings evilness as well.

yeah doom is pretty evil in teh self-serving way. he killed his mom or gf i dont remember and put their skin on to gain the power of teh magiks.

and magneto can be pretty bad. he stopped jean grey's heart, after all. also, mister sinister, with his whole cloning and mutant massacre and all that jazz.

Still Doom does positive qualities, he at least keeps his word and has been willing to risk his life to protect his people. There villains out there with positive qualities. seriously at least Latveria has a good standard of living.

I don't think magneto is pure evil as well, he has been willing to help the X-men several times. He is more of a gray character.

Sinister is a good choice, there isn't much nice to say about him. Apocalypse is a good choice as well, since he wishes to turn to this world into one giant death camp.

For me the truly evil characters are ones with no redeeming characteristics what so ever. Some of the street level characters are like that: Bullseye, Purple man, carnage, Sabertooth, etc.

I think the most evil character is the red Skull, there is nothing nice you say about him. He is a racist, sadistic, mass murderer who really enjoys doing evil things. He has no honor, morals or ethics and doesn't care about anyone but himself.

DSF pretty much has it down.

There are varying degrees of evil.

Red Skull has to be the most evil, in it's purest form and based on "success rate". But on that end of the most recognizable spectrum, Dr.Doom is up there. But he's not really evil. He's more self-serving more than anything else. It just so happens that his antic tend to draw global hero attention or are forms of direct retribution.

But if you read Bendis' Alias...then Purple Man is pretty up there in terms of just being a serious threat and a horrible human being.

That's true there are degrees, you have to consider goals too. Dookm actually does want to make the world a better place and would try to improve the world with his ruler ship. Even Magneto as seen with the house of m, wouldn't turn the world in nightmarish hell scape.

People like Red Skull and Apocalypse they have no desire to improve the world and want to turn the earth into a giant death camp.

Red Skull all the way. Though you could make an excellent argument for Apocalypse.

The Red Skull for pure evil

Purple Man for totally amoral to the point of evil

Well said. I totally agree.

Doctor Doom is bad but he has his moments. Red Skull would never help deliver Steve Roger's wife's baby.

he didn't kill his mom, she died when he was a kid and he spent most of his life trying to save her soul.

I say green goblin. Here is my reasoning for those who care.

Dr doom, Red Skull, Kingpin, Magneto ect.... are evil but have some kind of goal e.g rule the world, Make it a better place for mutants ect...

People like say carnage like to kill but lack the truly evil nature that makes a villain great.

Green Goblin however, Killed spider-man's girlfriend then years later tried to do it again to his wife for no other reason than making spider-man so emotionally damaged he would likely kill himself.

Also he faked his own and caused his own son to go completely evil and crazy which lead to his death. I mean it's one thing to kill say captain america as he is a superhero and your nemesis. It's one thing to butcher a complete stranger but to do that to your own son? your flesh & blood. That is pure evil.

Also the clone saga. He was behind it. Killing spider-man is not enough like most villains who would settle for the kill, No. Green Goblin has to maker Peter Parker actually question his existence and slowly start going more and more crazy making the pain that much work. Evil.

Trying to kill Aunt may. Aunt May! yes others have tried but goblin's little twist would make peter have more guilt because Goblin is just not happy unless he makes spider-man have a complete mental break down. EVIL!

and that is my case.

Well having a goal can make some these guys even more evil, Doom and Magneto actually want to improve it, in their own way.

People like Apocalypse and Red Skull use taking over the world as means to get revenge of the world and promote pain and suffering.

People like say carnage like to kill but lack the truly evil nature that makes a villain great.

Carnage is evil, but he lacks any style or interesting character traits.

Green Goblin however, Killed spider-man's girlfriend then years later tried to do it again to his wife for no other reason than making spider-man so emotionally damaged he would likely kill himself.

Actually the Skull did something similar to his daughter, actually he had to be convinced not kill her at birth. Harry at least had enough humanity to do the right thing at the end, Sin is a total psychopath who had to be brainwashed to be a normal person.

Also the clone saga. He was behind it. Killing spider-man is not enough like most villains who would settle for the kill, No. Green Goblin has to maker Peter Parker actually question his existence and slowly start going more and more crazy making the pain that much work. Evil.

Gobby is pretty evil, definitely up there, likely in top ten. Gobby desire to destroy Pete's life is pretty scary. Though I'm not sure he meant to ruin Harry's life, I think he might have loved his son in his own twisted way, but he didn't like his son and his psychopathic nature meant that he couldn't do anything but heap emotional abuse on Harry. He's a good choice though. I don't think he is Joker evil though. At least his evil is mainly centered on Spidey.

Eric Cartman.

Does it have to be exiting villains or do past ones count? If so does Hitler count

As seen above Captain America is punching him so he was a villain .....
