You are all just obstacles on my path to Nirvana.
So May is already a week old, and my 4-year anniversary date of joining the site (May 27, 2004) is quickly approaching. Less than three weeks from today, in fact (19 days...) and obviously, I'm counting. I'm the timeline guy after all. So for this reason, I've convinced myself I should try to hit 10,000 posts before my 4 year join date (to put myself squarely in the 2,500 post per year column ;) ). Its more than doable, without even upping my average post rate any, meaning I won't be making any pointless posts...well, anymore than usual (this one included). I could even try a little harder and try to hit 10,000 before the 4 year anniversary of the site itself. It was May 20, 2004 when UltimateCentral (in the future known as Skynet) went online, wasn't it? Ice, E, someone who's sure, let me know.

So yeah, thats what I'm aiming for.

Discuss. Ridicule, encouragement, uncaring responses, etc are all welcome.

That way I'll have more posts to reply to.

;)

I'd like to hit 10k by my 4 year. I doubt it will happen though. I've got this bad habit of not posting unless I think I can add to the conversation.

Really?

Huh...

Anyway, I have no such compunctions.

We should high-five at WWC.

I'm sure it will shake the mountains.

I'm generally pretty secure that most of my posts serve a function and aren't completely wasted. But I don't know, I could be wrong about that.

At least, according to my Wiki profile others disagree with me.

I like how UC is Skynet.

Well, it will be. I mean, really, is there a more likely subject?

This site is a herald of the apocalypse, make no mistake about it. Thats why I love it so much it hurts my ankles.

We're going live and starting nuclear war?

See, eventually, Moonmaster is going to start assimilating noobs and lurkers. With this, his insignificant power will start to grow into something noticeable. After Moony turns his attention on the lost heroes and well-known but infrequent posters(TheManWithoutFear, PatriotMK2, etc), his growing power will catch the attention of Bass. They eventually battle to the death, but something is born on their blood-soaked battlefield: the sentient techno-organic computer program/being known as Skynet.

However, some will refer to it as Smeevelgrunst. I don't know why. The pot-induced visions ended at that point. But not before it showed Skynet kills the world, not with nuclear war, but forced napalm enemas.

Terrible, truly.

I only recently discovered it. Red the first six issues, liked it. Will be picking up the new one shot probably this week as well.

The one coming out this week is the first part of a new mini by Ellis, the one shot comes out later by some guy I never heard of.

I keep looking at the first volume on my LCS's 50% off rack. Should I get it?

I didn't really like the first volume, but I'm hoping it's building to good things, and the one shot expanding on the history of the newuniversal universe just makes it more intriguing to me.

I liked it. I'd buy it at 50% off. If nothing else, if you don't like it, you could easily turn around and sell the 6 issue mini on Ebay for a slight profit (especially getting it at 50% off).

I'd recommend it.

Oh its the HC.

But I'm a format whore, so its cool.

Oh ok, I hadn't been paying much attention.

Oh, I didn't realize the HC or Trade were out yet, either. I just assumed it was the issues.
