I know this could be part of the sports thread but I think the olympic games justifies it's own thread.

Anyone looking forward to this? I can't wait I love the olympic games every time and this one should be cool.

This is the BBC advert for it

I really love this as it's obviously inspired by Journey to the West and I love most things to do with Journey to the West (part of my Dragon ball love)

Overall I'm exited might get the 2008 olympic games ps3 game tomorrow, Only annoying thing is it's on early morning till like 6 am here and i'm at work at 7 but If i can do it for wwe which is 4 am or 5 am for some I can do it for this

I love the Olympics. I just hope the Dream Team doesn't collapse like last time.

Re: Beijing olympic games 2008.

I like the Olympics as much as the next person, but I do think that all of the world unity stuff that they pimp out every four years is a little ridiculous. Just because everyone is playing sports for a few weeks doesn't mean that everything is right in the world or that we all still don't hate each other. That's just my little rant for today.

I agree that part is kind of silly considering the olympics is about "my country beat your country"

Their breasts are too small

but too much is a waste dont you think?
Well in Asia those racks are considered Hooters worthy i guess because thats usually as big as they get. Though you do get some asian girls with big racks. looks bizarre

I agree. It's just everytime i've gone to usa I've gone to hooters (they have damn nice curly fries plus curly fries + Tabasco sauce= heaven) But the women seemed to all have big breasts I thought it was on the job application

Ah  Also am I the only one shocked that it is spelt in english? I was expecting it to be spelt in Chinese like I think Coke is there and other countries.

i THINK it would look like this:
大胸 (literally "Big Chest")

In Cantonese you would say: "Fei Doi Bo" (any chinese speakers please step in on that one)
Japanese would say "Ooki Oppai" or "Boing Boing"

and you cant really get western sized boobs so plentiful in Asia so you gotta appreciate what they have so i guess those Beijing Hooters girls are blessed

Morgan Hamm out of Olympics with ankle injury

BEIJING (AP)—Morgan Hamm's eyes were red, his voice shaky.

The bone spurs digging into his left leg made it impossible for him to tumble, and giving up his spot on the U.S. men's gymnastics team was the right thing to do—the only thing to do. That didn't make it hurt any less.

:D I know it's bad news but I couldn't help but think "Yes, there one of the enemies out"

Re: Beijing olympic games 2008.

I can't stand the Olympics anyway, but I won't be watching or following them especially this year.

The US should not even be in these Olympics, nor any other nation how gives two poops about human rights.

agreed, but I have my own reasons. The Olympics haven't seemed that serious since it's induction of trampoline jumping as an Olympic sport.

Totally agree.

And not even the media is doing much about it. The news outlets are talking about how wonderful China is and talking about the criticisms of them and the attempted protests as annoying distractions.

If China didn't have the economic pull that they have and if they weren't hosting the Olympics we'd be putting them in the same boat as Venezuela and Iran and North Korea.

I won't go out of my way to watch it or keep up with what's happening, but if I come across it I'll probably check it on. Therefore, the Olympics are much like Friends in that aspect.

Also, much like Friends, The Olympics suck.
