Damn search not working, So I decided **** it and create a new thread for news of any kind. Good, bad, funny, sick, scary it doesn't matter.

Anyway, I think people are out to screw each other but even my faith in humanity disappeared a bit more today after this.

A doctor who stopped to help a pensioner knocked down by a bus had her car stolen.

The man in his 70s was suffering a serious head injury when the doctor pulled up in her red Renault Clio and got out to help, leaving the keys in the ignition.

A thief then jumped in her car and drove off.

What the hell? I saw it on the news today and just looked up that to paste the story. I was watching it I was feeling sick. What type of heartless bastard could steal a car from someone helping to save an old age pensioner's life? Damn. seriously.

I'm not sure we need a thread for this...for example that story could have gone in the off-topic thread. Let's see what the mods have to say about it.

Could have but I figured news should have a thread so people can discuss it one place. The off topic thread news gets posted there and instead of been discussed three posts or so later is just ignored for random crap. I figured a thread about news was needed.

Usually major events get their own threads. Minor stuff is usually thrown in to off-topic. There were a couple of weird news threads as well, and now that I think about it I seem to remember we did hav ea news thread...maybe it just got folded into something else.

I think so. But the search been broken made it impossible to tell

No I mean news about the television industry/industries.

WEll if the news directly correlated with some of our favorite shows, ala the strike, I think it could go in the all about tv shows thread in earn it's own.

Also, you'd be stupid not to steal a Clio.

Yes, but sometimes the news relates to TV programs in development, changing of management, reschedules and reprogramming, contracts and all the stuff that frequently gets bumped off or not given any attention to due to the sheer continuous momentum of the All About TV thread.

Naturally, if it relates to favorite shows, they can go into All About, or in the respective threads for those shows or in the case of strikes, have their own thread.

Batman' Causes M25 Chaos

A Fathers 4 Justice protest forced the closure of four lanes on the M25.

Campaigner Geoff Hibbert, dressed as Batman, used a ladder to climb onto a gantry above the motorway between junctions 14 and 15.

He told Sky News: "I will try and stay here all day but the police are going to try and remove me.

"But the police have been very, very good about it, very supportive."

FURIOUS parents have demanded toy-makers Fisher-Price remove a doll that appears to say: 'Islam is the light'.

The £19.99 Little Mummy Real Loving Baby Cuddle and Coo Doll has caused outrage in America where parents say it 'spouts religious messages'.

Has a video too, It does say "Islam is the light" it's clear as anything.

Originally considered a dud, an old volcano-in-a-bottle experiment designed to mimic conditions that may have brewed the components of life might have been right on target.

After reanalyzing the results of unpublished research conducted by Stanley Miller in 1953, chemists realized that his experiment had actually produced a wealth of amino acids — the protein foundation of life
