At this point Is there any way for the Ultimate Universe to recover, from the terror inflicted on it by Loeb (and to much, much lesser extent, Kirkman)?

Overlord is the site goldfish, he makes the same threads over and over again because he has no long term memory

I think it's time for a line-wide termination

start something new that takes the best parts of the early UU, Supreme Power, and Newuniversal, hell even that Bullet Points mini from a couple years back

one weekly series that over-arch's the evolution of something like the MU in complete chronological order, set from the public's point of view ala Marvels, completely skipping character origins just showing how the rise of these character affects the world around them.

put the series in the hands of a rotating cast of writers like: Millar, Ellis, Ennis, Sweirczynski, Brubaker, Fraction, Aaron, Hickman, Waid, Busiek, Hurwitz, Lapham, Bensen, Huston, Remender, Spurrier, Guggenheim, Gage, Slott, Vaughn, Lindelof, Abnett, Lanning, David, Pak, Carey, Van Lente, etc.

and naturally some primo art talent would be needed

Didn't you already make this thread like two years ago?

So what? Things can change in two years, opinions can change, circumstances can change, I see no problem asking a question again after two years have past, when a lot of things could have changed.

I have been on may other forums more people ask the samer question much later, to see if things have changed and this is the only forum that mkaes a big deal about this.

Have you even thought to try and just bringing that old thread back up?

Most forums I visit consider that improper, being a thread necromancer is consider bad manners on most of the net. That's the rules I used to, plus there are no rules against what I am doing here. Plus a lot of threads here are not archieved, after a certain point.

I just had an idea...how about more variant covers? I'm thinking a foil-hologram hybrid!!!

That would be just the shot in the arm it needs.

Writers of substance and talent that will bring new elements into the line and hopefully to the industry. Marvel has plenty of great artists, but they lack in great writers. More Mark Millar and Warren Ellis league writers and less jeph Loeb (90s flash over substance). Geoph Johhns could try to make his mark on the Ultimate. Continue to recruit from tv.
Lindeloff was a great Ultimates writer but his tardiness set a new standard. More like him except reliable.

This is how you not only recover but thrive. This is how you create classic runs. And classic runs become the basis for future movies.

Marvel has plenty of great writers, you need to read outside the UU
