DC's next animated DTV feature:
Heroic Lex Luthor from an alternate universe appears to recruit the Justice League to help save his Earth from the Crime Syndicate, a gang of villainous characters with nearly identical super powers to the Justice League. What ensues is the ultimate battle of good versus evil in a war that threatens both planets and, through a devious plan launched by Owlman, puts the balance of all existence in peril.

The movie is based somewhat by Grant Morrison's JLA: Earth 2 story. James Woods is doing the voice of Owlman and Gina Torres (Zoe Washburne from Firefly) is doing the voice of Super Woman. I don't know why, but they're changing voice actors for Superman and Batman again. I don't know why they don't just keep Tim Daly and Kevin Conroy for all the movies and stuff. Anyways, I'm not sure how much of a preview there was for this in Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, but it sounds pretty interesting.

Cool, I'm interested. I generally agree that Conroy and Daly should keep those roles but sometimes directors want their own take on the characters and not rely too heavily on someone else's incantations.

James Woods as Owlman has me stoked... Shouldn't the preview that's on the Public Enemies DVD be online today or tomorrow?

James Woods as Owlman is brilliant.

I thought there was a preview online? Or is that different?

You might be thinking of New Frontier, which has been out for a while (and I still haven't seen it!). I'm not too pushed about this DTV. It seems sort of pointless and the animation style is fairly standard.

I don't mind either way whether Conroy or Daly do the voices for movies like this.

Dark Knight Returns or Superman: Red Son or even Birthright as DTVs, would be great.

Nope, it wasn't a New Frontier. It was just a picture of this one.

These are the pics they've released so far.

This looks great... Especially Owlman... I'm actually glad this is going to be an original plot. I'm excited to see what they do.

The voices are awesome. But there's something wrong with the way the mouths move, it's like their teeth are showing too much and it's not matching up with the voices.

I just saw the preview for this and while I agree that James Woods is frighteningly awesome and Billy Baldwin is also a cool choice, the plot just annoys me. 'The Justice Lords' made so much more sense than the 'Crime Syndicate' who seem to just be bad guys for the sake of being bad guys. I'm sceptical.

This has potential to be the best one yet. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

As I stated before, I'm excited purely because of James Woods as Owlman (by all account, he's pretty phenomenal), but other than that, I think the premise of the 'Crime Syndicate' has always been a bit lame. The Justice Lords worked much better.

But we'll see. Could be entertaining.

This looks pretty good so far. But to be honest I haven't really liked any DTVs that either company has put out.

With the exception of maybe Superman Doomsday.

But I haven't seen Green Lantern: First Flight, Wonder Woman, Superman/Batman Public Enemies, Invincible Iron Man, Dr Strange, or Next Avengers.

Hopefully this one will be better.

Easily the best of the DC DTVs, if you ask me. Did you not like New Frontier?

Question: Does anyone know will this Justice League be an epic army like JLU or just the Big Seven?

I'm pretty sure it's the big six of Supes, Bats, WW, GL, Flash and the Martian. Sucks to be Aquaman I guess.
