And Rome, which was a phenomenal show that he was involved with...

But that's what wyokid regularly does, minimizes successful records or aspects and focuses or exaggerates the less tenable/impressive parts, all for the troll factor. This is his thing. He likes to be the contrarian, so let him run with it. When the show premieres and is amazing, he'll find one or two things to complain about while otherwise liking the show.

I used to fall for it. Now I know better. Everyone else should catch on too. ;)

That said, I now love him for it. It's hilarious if you keep in mind he's just trolling. Now, to be fair, Scott Buck was only involved with the last four seasons of Dexter, which while I wasn't a viewer are generally regarded as the downturn in quality for the show, but maybe I'm wrong, I stopped after Season 3 or so.

Henceforth, Scott Buck shall be referred to as Uncle Buck. It has been commanded.

It is all I've seen from him. And when I IMDb'd him I did notice the "Nominated for 7 Primetime Emmys". So yes, it was a joke :p I tell people Ant-Man is brought you by the guy who made Bring It On. Which I have on DVD...

His name is Buck and he's here to PARTY

Is Dexter highly regarded? I've never watched it but I've seen a lot of complaining about it, particularly the later seasons.

The first few seasons of Dexter were great, but I stopped watching before it got mediocre and then bad towards the end (from what I hear). Quality was probably a victim of the show continuing about 4-5 Seasons longer than it should've due to the ratings it brought in.

That said, again, Marvel are pretty careful and selective about the talent they hire, so I have no doubt Buck's pitch was the best. With a strong team of writers (something Daredevil and Jessica Jones show they have access to), I'm sure this'll be a great martial arts/mystical/street fighting blend.

The show's only good/great for the first four seasons, yeah, but overall it's still highly praised.

Buck worked on the later half, so hopefully he'll do better on Iron Fist.

OPINION: I Don't Want An Asian-American Iron Fist

Yes, we need more Asian-Americans in live-action superhero fare and pop culture in general. Yes, we need more non-white male lead characters in superhero fare. But making the first Asian lead of a Marvel or DC Comics-based project a character primarily identified for proficiency in martial arts would be a move that could potentially further stereotypes and restrict progress for Asians on screen.

They shouldn't go for an Asian Peter Parker either, then. He's primarily known for being smart, liking photography, and having an uncle named after rice.

Woo! Twitter is an uproar and I don't get why. Danny's whole character is that he was raised in K'un-Lun, was discriminated against because he was white, and when he came to America he's a SUPER rich blond haired blue eyed white man. People expect him to be a powerful business man, but he's a hippie monk. He's an outsider to his own culture. Then Luke Cage comes in, an angry black ex-convict who got experimented on in prison by the white man. In his eyes Danny should be the enemy and that was the best part of Heroes For Hire, seeing these two become brothers and hetero life partners. Danny being white isn't just important to his character, but Luke Cage's as well. They scream racism, but want an Asian to play the kung-fu master? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
