Marvel Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Part 2)

Well lets hope they have learnt from Disney and do it justice. With Venom 2 being done by Andy Serkis, there is a chance it will be better than the first, because it needs to be as it quite frankly sucked. Tom Holland seems like a smart guy, but not the type to talk away from a role if it starts to fall apart, fingers crossed it all works out!
Yeah, Venom was just fun, but hopefully the sequel can actually be good. I hope that Rothman (the guy who ruined Deadpool, The Last Stand, Ghostbusters, thought a Deadpool film would be unsuccessful, etc.) stays away from all Spider-Man related material. Amy Pascal is still involved with Spider-Man stuff, but I don't know if that means Rothman will keep away.

I think the MCU and SUoMC will be very distinct now, with the possibility that Venom 2 will be r-rated.

I'm using this to explain the current Spider-Man situation. I don't think the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters are the same continuity (similar to Titans/Doom Patrol), but they do inhabit the same universe.

Black Widow: Prelude confirmed April 7th, 2020.
That's for the paperback edition, not necessarily the initial releases of both preludes, so I listed its release date as "????, 2020".

Even though the movie is a prequel, it's possible that the prelude takes place in the present (like Captain Marvel Prelude), so I added it in the present day in the timeline for now.

RUMOR: New Mutants may be retconned into the MCU

My five cents: Rumor aside, I figure this is the only way I see this not being a 'throw-away' film or failure for Disney. In fact, it would likely be super benefictial for them and it's entirely possible they might have actually planned this already.

Honestly...mutant/X-gene experimentation, they could even tie that in with the Deadpool films. These secret government organizations become aware of these latent superpowers in certain individuals after the 'Blip', and decide to experiment on them through mental and physical torture; similar to what happened to Wade Wilson.

As for how Deadpool could theoretically fit in the MCU timeline - Again, I'll bring up the "The Year of the Dog" line. Because that one joke may ultimately give a decent placement for these films in context.
Chinese New Year 2030 - Year of the Dog (NOT 2018) for his flashback scenes, 2032 for the present day events of the first Deadpool movie and 2033 for Deadpool 2. That gives Marvel 5-7 years to introduce the X-Men in-universe after the most recent MCU film (Spider-Man: Far from Home).

All speculation on my part. Disney might have to cut some stuff that worked solely as jokes (Two in particular: the X-Men prequel actors' cameo in DP 2 and the post credit scene with Wolverine Origins Deadpool) and re-release the two films to make it work within this world.

Deadpool 1 & 2 and New Mutants; plus Kevin Feige reportedly wanting Venom (and maybe Morbius by extension) in the MCU. (Don't expect the Sony/Disney deal break up to last long.)

That leaves Legion as the oddball out of the MCU retcon equation.
However, considering how that show ended with a complete timeline reset... Anything's possible. If Noah Hawley or Feige approve of it.

And if Charles Xavier somehow manages to find a way to make himself youthful for decades following the mid-40s. (See my Legion timeline; David Haller was born in the 40s per a line of dialogue in "Chapter 26" mentioning Operation Torch, a WWII mission, which would make Charles Xavier born around 1916; as opposed to his X-Men film universe counterpart who was born in 1932. Totally different universe.)

Don't take this as me wanting every Marvel live-action property set in the MCU... I'm not that open-minded. 2016 and afterwords, not counting the X-Men films outside of the three I mentioned or The Gifted, is fair game IMO.

I hope this isn't true, that film looked bad to begin with, and with delays, reshoots and now more editing it can't be a great film. Not to mention reshoots with a young cast is always obvious given they start to age.

Created a very simple and early version of a basic watch order. Let me know what you think and if any changes should be made.
On another note, rumours are flying about that RDJ will be returning as Iron Man for a D+ project.

To add to the The New Mutants rumor, he claims his source broke out the news about black Lightnings involvement in Cisis on Infinite Earths.
Looks like we may get some retroactive continuity with The New Mutants and Venom after all. Add Deadpool and Legion to the mix and they would already have the beginning of mutants and the X-Men and a goal to get to a place the Deadpool's films are at in the timeline.
