Batman Anthology - Timeline (Outdated)

Pre/Post-Crisis, probably. Schumacher is confirmed Earth-89. "Divergent" timeline, because they're still continuations of Batman Returns.

The reason why this doesn't include the Dark Knight trilogy is because there are separate versions of the same character.

The Batman seen throughout 1989 to 1997 is considered the same version of the character.

In 2005, the series was rebooted with Batman Begins. Ben Affleck is another Batman.

So, they're kept separate to keep consistency. This timeline purely follows Earth-89 and the characters that originate from it.
I'm not sure if I agree with you onnthe dark Knight side of things but it seems to be the same with everyone else some say the old classics are better because they story kept together but the dark Knight brought the people better such as ledger as joker and hardy as bane they were perfect I've always like joker and ledger just thought it would be better his way like the part where his clapping in the police station he did that him self and its such a remarkable scene same with the fire bit and the money that was perfect I've used that sound bit in a video just the voices

This is a timeline of events of the universe. As in, Batman is 1989, Batman Returns is 1992, etc.

The Dark Knight Trilogy is not set in this timeline. In that world, Bruce became Batman in 2007. He wasn't Batman in these films, as they exist in different universes.

This has nothing to do with my opinions on what is better or not, or any of that. Sorry if there's some confusion.

Batman Anthology
1989 Batman
1992 Batman Returns
1995 Batman Forever
1997 Batman & Robin
2004 Catwoman
2022 The Flash

The Dark Knight Trilogy
2007 Batman Begins
2008 Batman: Gotham Knight
2008 The Dark Knight
2016 The Dark Knight Rises

See? Those are timelines. It's not about preference or quality, it's simply because they are different universes.

When watching the Arrowverse, you don't watch Man of Steel, do you? That's because Man of Steel is a different universe.

Batman & Robin symbol... for The Flash, maybe? Batcave Easter egg in Earth-89 or a multiversal cameo from Val Kilmer/George Clooney in Earth-(?).

Burtonverse... or Burtonverse 2?

Woah, woah, woah... Wait just a minute...

I proposed the idea of divergent timelines as well as them still being Keaton's history...

And they liked my comment that this is Earth-89 instead of an alternative universe? So The Flash isn't ignoring Schumacher completely?

I don't know who the frick this Picture Vehicles LTD company is, but we'll have to wait and see what they do.

My guess is that either Crisis or the Flash movie heavily altered the Schumacher stuff to what we'll see in the 89 comic.

They're a UK-based company that provides vehicles for film production. They've been involved with The Flash movie, naturally. They teased the '89 Batmobile a while back. Somehow they have made Schumacher style props.

I would assume the Schumacher stuff is involved, either as an alternate universe that shares the same history (Chris O'Donnell cameo?) or... well, you saw. Apparently they like the latter idea. I guess we'll have to wait and see how Batman '89 handles the "divergent timeline" the artist implied.

well if is how they handle The Flash do b89 lore that deal with this version of The Batman

Gonna be interesting to see how The Flash tackles the multiverse/ the Burton-Schumacher connection.

Anyway, are the comics or anyone behind The Flash film really gonna take into account the idea of "pre/ post-Crisis" or the even CW Crisis event itself when dealing with the split of the Schumacher films from the continuity of the Burton films (Or anything)

Is there a difference between different timelines and universes?
I doubt a company providing vehicles for production would know the intricacies of all this.

Also, I feel like the Joker being alive and the logo in the bat-signal being different on the CW's Earth-89 are either due to legal reasons or sheer incompetence and Guggenheim is just trying to save face.
Likely just a doppelgänger Earth.

1. We have no idea. We can only work with what has been presented by the storytellers, at the end of the day.

2. In DC, yes. Alternate timelines and universes are different, sometimes. Time travel in DC creates no new reality, just overlapping timelines. Though, you can have alternate universes that diverge from another universe's timeline without them being the same reality. We could see this happen with the Burtonverse.

3. Well, maybe. It does seem like it's for Earth-89, though.

4. Crisis on Infinite Earths is an officially made DC product, and Earth-89 is confirmed to be the reality of the Batman film series. Saying that it's a doppelgänger Earth is speculation. Confusing details don't really contradict the films considering they're easily explained.

I watch Man of Steel. Cause while it's a completely different universe, everywhere I go I read that it's part of arrowverse post-crisis

It's not a part of the Arrowverse post-crisis. That would be Superman & Lois.

It does exist within that multiverse on an undesignated earth, though.

well look like we have a new looks(ah Pun!) for Robin and Catwoman! and look like they were for a btas inspire for the cat and an Arkham City look for this version of Robin....maybe this a version of Tim Drake?

Dick Drake, huh? Original character then.

Maybe they won't contradict the Schumacher films yet. I mean, I don't think it will be completely clean, but there's no reason why Dick Grayson couldn't just be the second Robin.

I guess we'll have to wait for The Flash movie to tackle that. The inclusion of the Batman & Robin symbols and the implication it's in Earth-89 is confusing.

I still think Crisis may have changed something, because the artist said that the Schumacher films are divergent to the '89 comic but we'll just have to see.

problem is that note sort hinted that story is set in '85 or 95' or '89 which to me it is so confuse (ay I might overthinking myself)

I like this theory:

Earth-89 - Batman (1989), Batman Returns, Batman '89
Earth-96 - Superman I-II, Returns, III-IV, Supergirl, Superman '78 + Batman Forever, Batman & Robin

Assuming those merge at some point (I pray to God they don't merge the Burtonverse with the DCEU), this pre-Crisis/Flashpoint way is probably their cheat.

There's no date in Batman Forever or Batman & Robin that I recall.

They said Batman '89 is set in the mid-nineties. The '89 is a reference to the release date of the first film.
