X-Men Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Revised & Original)

To be fair, there's so many X-Men movie timelines in Deadpool 2 alone that there's really nothing wrong if you want it to be the X-Men movie version.

To be fair, there's so many X-Men movie timelines in Deadpool 2 alone that there's really nothing wrong if you want it to be the X-Men movie version.
My current head-canon:
Earth-10005 - Original Timeline
Earth-66250 - Revised/Cable's Timeline
Earth-41633 - Revised/Deadpool 2 Timeline
Earth-17315 - Revised/Logan Timeline
Earth-18315 - Weapon XI dead/Illuminati Timeline

It'd be weird if Captain Carter were Foxverse, though. I think either it's a multiversal team or it's sorta a fusion of the Foxverse, MCU and Captain Carter timelines... which could still technically count as Earth-18315 really, intentionally or otherwise. Be ridiculous, though.

Edit: continuation of head-canon incorporating leaks and speculation:
Earth-18315
1943 – Events of "What If... Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?"
1944 – Magneto loses his family during the Holocaust
1962 – Events of X-Men: First Class
1979 – Deadpool of Earth-41633 kills Weapon XI during X-Men Origins: Wolverine
1989 – Daughter of Magneto, Wanda is born. Maria Rambeau becomes Captain Marvel
???? – Fantastic Four get their powers
2012 – Peggy find her way to present day
2014 – Events of "What If... The Watcher Broke His Oath?"
20?? – Events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Keep in mind, this is just some fun dumb theory. Preferably the Illuminati are from different worlds. Hell, I'd accept if just Xavier was the only one from a different world, or even just Captain Carter.

X-Men: The Last Stand definitely 2006.

X-Men: The Last Stand definitely 2006.
Thanks.

The shot from 0:23 can by seen in The New Mutants. The same doctor in the background, the 01 number on the wall, the children walking past, everything is the same. I compared the shots exactly.

That exact scene plays out in The New Mutants. This recording is from 2026.

So, that means The New Mutants would take place in either August 2026 or Summer 2027, because it is mentioned that it takes place in summertime and there's an August 1st date in that recording.

The X-Men are still around during the film, so it's before Xavier's seizure and the disbanding of the X-Men.

As for mutants still being born, I suppose the Essex Corporation must have picked up any new mutants before they could be documented. Mr. Sinister loves genetics. That, or this is a really long time after Logan and mutants have started being born again, but it'd be weird that the kids think they could be X-Men...

We don't know how long she worked there, correct? She could have easily been working there a decade before finally revealing the truth.

EDIT: So she DID say 10 years. At the very beginning.

That footage with the "01" could easily be from 10 years prior, not connected to the following scene with the "2026" date.
Most likely a bunch of footage from different years spliced together.

Is there a viewing order for the x men universe instead of a detailed timeline.

All help I appreciate a lot.

Thanks for sharing this viewing order a while back btw. I've been using it and I'm up to "Dark Phoenix" so far. (I ended up slowing down a lot while watching "The Gifted")

Regarding Legion:
How did Lenny get a woman pregnant? I considered that maybe she was hiding a you know what (apparently Aubrey Plaza portrays her as androgynous according to the wiki), but Salmon states that she is "penis free", so... no (She still believes that makes her a virgin though, lol). Perhaps they had a sperm donor?

She's implied to have been impregnated in S2 but had the child in S3, with is 2 years later due to David being 30 in S1, therefore 31 in S2. In S3, David is 33. Obviously, that's much more than 9 months. Maybe it's all part of David's delusion. :p

Also, Syd states that S2 was a year ago when talking to her younger self in 3x04, I believe.

I see you put the Xavier/Gabrielle scenes in 1964 (thus worked out the show as a whole). Is that because of this?
I think we have some range, given the fact that Legion exists in a bit of an alternate universe from the X-Men movies, and because it's a bit of a subjective look from inside the mind of someone who doesn't really perceive reality the way that everybody else does. If you look at the show, it's both 1964 and the future. And we don't know exactly where it is and the world, so it's a bit of an allegory.

Makes sense. There was a 2016 date in S1 and mobile phones in the Astral Plane in S2, but the WW2-related connections with Gabrielle having been in the camps and Xavier (apparently?) having fought in the war are more important. We can assume that the mobile phones are only there just because the show plays around with its time period like many others do.

I guess that would make Harry Lloyd's Xavier about 10 years older than his Earth-10005 counterpart, assuming that that flashback was from WW2.

A few things (I have rewatched this show many times) since some of the moments in Legion are interpreted taken far too literally:
1.) I've stated this about Gabrielle before but her being an adult in the camp was a Time Eater illusion, and she clearly had a Hitler doll (no adult would have a doll) she wouldn't let go of before Xavier 'removed' her trauma - implying that the Nazis gave her that doll as a child since all her relatives were dead/killed. (Bare in mind, Amy Haller is strongly implied to be a creation of David or Farouk from childhood - if you catch the line in S2 about her quoting the hive minded "organizing principle" quote from the Vermilions - the fembots with the mustaches. She would have no way of knowing that, but the "organizing principal" by definition is multiple segments that lead to a singular middle point - in this case the Division 3 leader with the bucket head who visually represents David's mind. THESE AREN'T REAL PEOPLE. They are creations of David given memories disguised as histories to justify their existence in his life.)

2.) Xavier in "WW2" did not mean he was in the War. (Yes, he said he hadn't had cherry pie since before "the war" but he never specified WHICH war - so it could have been the Korean War which Xavier did serve in the comics.)
That "WW2" sequences was him entering Gabrielle's mind and killing the Nazi in her head as a metaphor for ridding her of her trauma.

3.) Lenny being pregnant via another woman doesn't matter. David can warp reality and thus 'realism' has no meaning. Don't overthink that.

4.) Thanks for reminding me about the Syd line.

5.) "1964" is in reference to a number of factors involving Oliver Bird, a potential "personality"/creation of David, I elaborated on in a prior page.

6.) When you have Time Eaters cause time skips and things being brought to the future and past inadvertently, things will pop up in the wrong time period.

7.) Last point I wanna make is that this show is built on metaphor and visual/verbal implications rather than explanations - all from David's perspective shown to us as viewers. For example, Division 3 is David's paranoia and fears as a mutant being personified (and their name is a play on the 3 divisions of the brain - i.e. from Davids mind hint hint) and Summerland is what David sees as his protectors and nostalgic comfort zone. Not said onscreen, but you can infer that from dialogue and visual clues. They take it one step further when in season 2, all of a sudden this very real world-y U.S. government Division 3 from season 1 gets amalgamated with Summerland - now looking very retro-future-y with impossible elements. This represents David in a state of confusion with warped memories and reality that flooded together when trapped inside the Orb. Said Orb cost him a year of his time (or as inferred by Syd holding her breath scene, time just SPED UP - Time Eaters? Again, time skipped when David saw his therapist in season 1). Everything ties together from beginning to end, from end to beginning, as events in season 3 affect events in season 2 which in turn effect season 1 events.

TL;DR - DON"T TAKE LEGION AS LITERAL. Think about the hidden meanings and pay close attention. ;)

I assumed Gabrielle would have been a child. I did think that Amy Haller dreaming about the fembots didn't make sense. You know, I actually considered that maybe Switch was a creation of David, since his ability is power manifestation and he needed to time travel which is one of his abilities in the comics, but I don't know. In a way, because of his power set, there's no way to tell who is a manifestation and who is real.

Interesting. Well, it's a fair coincidence either way. Even supports it.

Oooohhhhhh.

God damn it, now I want to rewatch it.

Switch is not a creation of David. Moreso her father Xiu who could easily be a TVA Agent (he has the brown suit and tie).
Another factoid: Her real name "jia-yi" translates to "plus one".
Remember this:
"What is one, plus one." - Oliver Bird
"Two." - Farouk
"*smiles smugly*" -Oliver Bird
"Ohhhh. You sly devil." - Farouk

Oliver was searching for her thru the Astral Plane as a way of curing David since he first came into existence. Almost as like the father figure that was never there.

The show isn't weird for the sake of weird. You really have to pay attention to piece it all together.

God damn it, now I want to rewatch it.

Definitely my favorite "superhero" tv show

Also,
the scene where Syd's child is aged through her entire life in about five minutes was one of the saddest things I've seen. Not only because the whole concept is so dark, but also because it happens to Syd, a character who personifies this idea of being a chaotic, impulsive, self-destructive individual who is always chasing the next hit and changing allegiances on a dime.

those five minutes show Syd that she could be someone's stable, nurturing figure, and then its taken away from her immediately. It destroys her, she cant go back to being the crazy hedonist but her family is gone.

Its kinda similar to Wanda's arc in the MCU. Wanda bounces back and forth between being a hero and villain while everyone around her that she could possibly consider "family" dies. Then finally she is given a taste of what its like to have that cherry-pie sitcom life and once she has had it she can't go back either. Although really Wanda destroys herself, because in pursuit of her children she turns herself into someone who couldn't be their mother.

Just had to ramble about a couple of my favorite recent superhero shows
