again, not an update, but could someone tell me if the Epilogue from "The Fall" was released separate, or only with "The Fall" in the reprints?

This has nothing to do with the timeline, but just with the simplified order, well you see. "The Fall" must be read between Brotherhood and Revelation as Shawn makes a reference to it in the latter, but the epilogue of that story should be read just before reading "The Chain", as it has the introduction of characters that will appear in "The Chain", and in turn "The Chain" should be read between Revelation and ACIII, as it prepares Cross for the events of the latter. The problem with all this is that "The Fall"'s epilogue doesn't feel like one.

that's also the reason why I separated the 2 cicles of the french comics, as issues 1-3 revolves around ACI-Brotherhood while issue 4 has a mention of Darim, a character you'd know only after playing Revelation or reading the Secret Crusade novel, but the novel is a prequel to Revelations, so forced to be read just before playing the game. So there won't be any spoiler by them. And yeah they're still canon, in ACIII Remastered, in Desmond's bio, Aquilus is still one of Desmond's descendants.

Spoiler: Notes on placements

Far Cry Primal is set in 10,000 B.C., as shown in the game's opening, making it the earliest entry in the timeline chronologically. The inclusion of a Blood Dragon's skeleton, while an Easter Egg, might seem like a contradiction, as FC3: Blood Dragon is "set" in 2007. I'll come back to this in due time when I do Headcanon/Theorycrafting to explain the more ambiguous stuff.

Hey, every time i start one of the games i make an list merging Modern times and the memories, being like the moments when Desmond would visit those in present day, which you can get an idea through The Desmond Files and emails for example, and that's how i've been playing since ACI to know when to read Desmond Files [number]


I was doing mine for ACIII and ACIII: Liberation (might send it here to show what i mean, just a part cuz it's very WIP). Though i was wondering where did you take the ACIII: Liberation's dates from. From my memory and searching i couldn't seem to find any info on the dates of the Erudito memories. I noticed the 2 days gap between most of them, except for 4 to 5, which have a month gap. Did you base it on the memories' chronology or something like that? the separation was done to have ACL MD Character time to eat, drink and have his life. He is supposed to be us, and as long as you can do 2-3 sequences per day (we're still assuming 100%) it would be impossible. I remind you that he doesn't know the world is ending, so he doesn't stay in the Animus for days, like Desmond. For what we know from a present day perspective, the memory progression of Connor and Aveline could be not in synch, I just want with past chronology just for simplicity, and then adapted modern day stuff with ACIII's progression. But nice list.

another thing I did (yeah I'm finishing ACIII's block) I'm going to add the Aveline DLC prior to the very end of ACIII's contracts. Probably from a MD perspective those memories were experienced in 2013 thanks to a collectible audio, but there's basically not a single piece of MD that it's best to put it with the ACIII tie-in media. Sometime looking to the past is best than MD, and sometime is the opposite. Yeah,, AC is hard to play for a first timer.

Not an update, but building an Assassin's Creed Chronology sometimes gets you to solve some challenges Ubisoft gives you, and I want you to Join me into this one!

So Sequence 5 of Black Flag places itself between January and 27th April 1717, that's nice! Let's see the novel, uhm... July? 1716? Ok... Maybe they've got it wrong, let's see if Blackbeard's journal can back any of them.... sooo the winner is.... 17th May 1716? WHAT?

So we've got 3 different datings for sequence 5. So let's analize all 3 of them and then I'll tell you how I solved it.

- The Game: We all know it so moving on.
- The Novel: The whole sequence is set in July 1716 and the next date is January 1718, meaning that according to the novel, nothing happened in 1717.
- Blackbeard's journal: Only the Intro scene is set on the 17th May of 1716, then next entry is dated 9th September 1717.

So, here's how I did it:

Blackbeard's Jornal date is incompatible, as it contradicts the novel on a logical level; Edward sailed from Great Iguana on the 13th of March 1716 and arrived in May 1716, so 2 months. Nassau isn't that distant from Great Iguana, so how could he be there in May? but aside for that it doesn't give much problem, as the next entry is set in a time that sequence 5 100% happened;

So let's say that this sequence works how any sequence from ACIII worked: Scene at the Homestead, timeskip, rest of the sequence. So if the intro happens in July 1716, then we've got a time skip where Vane and Jake prepares to attack the fort and then we're in January 1717, and it continues with the game dates. To add smt from Bleackbeard's journal we can say the intro happens on the 17th July 1716. so in the end this is how I think Sequence 5 should be dated:

The Fort (Intro): 17th May 1716.
The Fort (Rest of the Memory): January 1717.
Traveling Salesman: 26th April 1717.
Unmanned: 27th April 1717.

So guys, I hope it makes sense hahah.

Not an update, but Christie Golden flumbed again!

So Blackbeard's jornal places the Siege of Charles-Towne between 12-13th June of 1718. This goes against history as it happened between the 28-29th may of 1718.

So every date post-12th of March and Pre-20th of July have been adjusted.

As for Bonnet's weird history, I reconciled it with Bonnet going solo in early May, then being called after the siege by Blackbeard for the pardon, then after he left Bonnet, Bonnet goes solo again and dies on the 10th of December 1718.

And guys and girls! We've finished Assassin's Creed: Initiates (or at least I hope) well as you can see, I saw that there was a Twitter post with in-lore texts, now their Twitter profile is big! So if anyone who's nerdy as me and was into the initiates campaign back in the day, could tell me which other posts should be added would be amazing!

Another thing, but this is more about confusion, but why almost no one adds Black Flag's multiplayer? I know it's def less important than Brotherhood and Revelation's, but it has the same features as ACIII's with e-mails and videos. As for placements I placed it in the summer of 2014, as I think it's implied that the game you play is the game noob helped to develop.

Also the french comics are canon! Well, in a audio log from Rogue it gives the possibility to be fake news made by the assassins, buuuut.... ACIII Remastered had still informations of them in it. So headcanon what you want about the modern day events of those comics, as I don't have a single clue on how to make it work! Nice.

Ok guys I started Rogue and I want to let you join on a doubt I had while replaying it, and reflecting about it and Unity.

What I was thinking is to place in the simplified order Unity and then Rogue and I know this would be pretty uncomfortable gameplay wise but....

....If I remember correctly the War Letters in rare occasions have characters from Unity, also Rogue's ending has more impact if you know about Arno, and I feel like that if you play Rogue first at the start of Unity you'd spend more time looking at the background to spot Shay rather than be invested in little Arno and Elisé, the novel has Jenny in it, making a connection for Black Flag and Forsaken, and not playing Rogue first would let you wonder who is Charles Dorian's killer, so when someone finished Rogue, well... for sure it will make the 1700s era's ending one hell of a sendoff.

As for the Modern Day events, the letters you can find in Unity works as a better aftermath for Black Flag, and also in Rogue's Data Pad you have Robert Fraiser from Unity's handbook and notes on the Helix memories you see at the beginning of Unity, so you'd have the wow effect. More recently, since I finished the 1st Modern Day mission, Berg is sent in Rogue's audiologs to find pieces of Eden, which is something explained in Unity.

Ofc this could change when I'll replay Unity too as maybe I'm forgetting some small details, but any choise we decide to make, I'll still play Rogue first as I started with this one. But still I want to hear your opinion.

Violet da Costa Bitch says that after a nice cute reference to discover your legacy, that the Ankh was seen during Roman Gaul and Middle Ages Egypt and there was a Modern Day Assassins' cell, ending with ALL of this 3 are fake in her opinion.

So the line she says can't be true for just one scenario, so or it's all fake or it's all true.

... except I'm referring to the modern-day segments of the French comics, as there, Lucy isn't a triple-agent for the Templars like she is in the games, Clay/Subject 16 is still alive as opposed to being more deader in the games than Jimmy Hoffa, and just the sheer amount of inconsistency/incompatibility with the modern-day storyline of the games at the time.

Look, I'm not saying the Aquilus stuff isn't canon. Maybe it happens. Maybe it doesn't. But the fact of the matter is that the modern-day portions REALLY don't work with the current modern-day canon. Like, I'm sorry, but I just don't agree with including the modern-day side of the French comics on the timeline as a whole.
