"Spider-Noir is a direct spin-off of the Spider-Man alternate universes first established in the 2018 Oscar-winning animated film Into the Spider-Verse."

So, it's the same Spider-Man? Could it be just the writer of the article's addition? Wouldn't Sony approve of the article before its published nonetheless though?
i mean… "lets start from the beginning" is verbiage directly from into the spider-verse…

Oooooooooooooooooh dang it's totally the same guy then okay
If we're gonna see him getting dragged into the collider portal in the finale then it's all over
"Oh, uhhh.. yeah I'm Peter Parker too! Totally not a Ben Reilly, lol. Why would I be?"
- Spider-Noir

I mean just look he's the literal spitting image of Nick Cage
If that ain't a coincidence then they definitely planned it all out perfectly

Okay so considering that Ben is very probably meant to be around Nick Cage's age I'm willing to bet he got his powers probably in the late 1890s or early 1900s

Another exclusive article from the same magazine says he is not the same Spider-Man Noir.

https://www.esquire.com/uk/culture/...cage-spider-noir-spider-verse-interview-2026/
"Cage makes his TV debut in the series, which Prime Video will stream later this spring. He originally voiced the alt-universe anti-hero in 2018's Into the Spider-Verse, but even that version of the gravel-voiced anti-hero is different from the one in the new show. Cage is playing Ben Reilly this time, not Peter Parker. In Marvel comics lore, Ben was a genetic clone of Parker's; in Spider-Noir, Cage performed Ben more like a clone of Humphrey Bogart."

This also made me think
If we do consider that this is meant to be Aunt May's relative and not a Peter Parker variant AND that he's around Nick Cage's age then he'd be more fit as May's great-grandfather than any closer relative

Maybe spider noir is in Sony Universe set in the past lets see

All of this is kinda funny though because like
The Black Cat is mentioned in the newspapers in Morbius and
Is Li Jun Li's character meant to be her ancestor or is the Black Cat of the present day a completely different character?
Black Cat of present day would of course be a different character since the character in this show is named "Cat Hardy," assuming that it's the same universe.

Wait, if Earth 688B gets absorbed into the MCU and Spider Noir is set in the MCU, what the hell is going to happen to the events of Spider Noir

I mean I don't really think if he'd be actually playing the exact same character and that they simply thought that animation would sell better than live action or if he's just producing it
Him sounding like he's perpetually drunk works better in live action than through voice

The SSU is getting a soft reboot due to Kraven bombing.

This can mean two things depending on how Secret Wars ends.

1. If there are no more MCU branches - This will be in the soft-rebooted MCU.
2. If the multiverse is 'reborn' - it's just a new SSU...
