I don't plan on adding it because it has no connection to Amityville Backrooms. Also, the Backrooms is in the public domain, and there's 100% going to be a **** ton of movies using the Backrooms title to try to leech off the success of the A24 film
American Story actually has the Backrooms, too.

"We look forward to bringing the world of Wes Craven's Nightmare on Elm Street to a new and completely engaged generation of fans," Iya Labunka said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. "We know that Wes would have been thrilled to see how horror is taking its long overdue place in the cultural canon. We can't wait for all of us to sit together in a dark theatre – around the campfire of today – as the next chapter of the Nightmare story unfolds."
No details of the new take were revealed but it has been described as being "set in the world of A Nightmare on Elm Street, based on the original screenplay."

Sequel, remake, or legacy sequel that ignores everything but the first? Time will tell... but if it's a remake I'll be pissed. Slightly less at a Halloween (2018) approach, but still unhappy.

Robert doesn't need to play Freddy, though. He can have a cameo as a form if they need and want that, but Freddy constantly shifts and molds to the fears of his victims. A recast would be totally fine. Nobody is going to replace Englund, but I'd rather a new film than nothing at all.

This trend of sequels ignoring sequels is starting to get annoying, first Halloween did it, then Terminator (although since Terminator has time travel not really), then Texas Chainsaw Massacre, now it's probably Elm Street

It's definitely going to be a remake, they're just hesitant to say it after what happened last time

The language isn't specific to anything, so while that's likely in a lot of ways, I wouldn't say definitely at this point.

The quotes "the next chapter of the Nightmare story unfolds" and "set in the world of A Nightmare on Elm Street" imply otherwise, but it doesn't really mean it's definitely set in the same reality. Then, "based on the original screenplay" makes you think it'd be remake, but that's pretty typical for scripts to say. All Evil Dead movies are "based on The Evil Dead (1981)," so, while it might be a remake, there's no total and absolute confirmation of that.

Like, that movie doesn't even connect to Fortnite yet. How can you expect it to be connected to this? 😅
Honestly I just thought it would fit well with everything else. And also I need a Timeline of the movie for a project I'm working on and if it got added here then I have a Timeline for it.

I've just started putting together a timeline for the *Breaking Bad* expanded universe. I'd be happy if anyone wanted to chime in.
Craddock Marine Bank from The X-Files turns up in a few places, and apparently the blue methamphetamine crystals produced by that loathsome fellow turn up in an early episode of The Walking Dead.

Of course this is how I find out pure meth isn't actually blue… (well, why would I ever doubt what someone in my tv screen tells me)

JIMMY SCIVOLANTE

I don't think I'll include "Slipping Jimmy"; it's supposed to be set well before 2002, the year Better Call Saul takes place, yet it mentions The Wolf of Wall Street, which came out in 2014.
There was an in-universe event where a character could see into the future and predicted crypto. It literally canonises magic and demons into the Breaking Bad universe. Apparently people don't understand that scene at all.

Also, referencing The Wolf of Wall Street in the 1970s contradicts real life, not the Breaking Bad universe. Movies do that all the time, too. The Evil Dead is a movie in A Nightmare on Elm Street before it even came out in real life. Does that mean A Nightmare on Elm Street isn't canon to A Nightmare on Elm Street?

People don't accept Slippin' Jimmy because they don't like it and it's silly, but it doesn't ACTUALLY contradict anything.
