You're likely correct in this assumption. I personally don't count opening credit sequences like that because they can be like Superman VS The Elite which includes footage from the DCAU, 1940s serials and the 1960s series.

I always noticed that both Batman and Superman are portrayed as older looking/sounding than they are in Doom so that's why I have it the way I do.

Yea in fact a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria can be seen in Gotham City, placing the film in 1998 at the earliest.

FYI The animated Batman Year One is set in modern times, wheras TDKR is set firmly in the 1980s.

Blue Beetle being in 2023 is much better IMO. It serves as a better finale to the DCEU than Aquaman 2 in my humble opinion.
