If you were stranded on an island, assuming for the rest of your life, and could only have 10 albums with you, what would you want them to be. ONLY 10.

Let's make it harder by saying NO greatest hits-type albums.

Multiple-disc albums count as 1 album, compilations do not. In other words, The White Album would be counted as one album. Each of the Guns N Roses Use Your Illusion albums would be 1, since they were not packaged together.

Mine:

The Beatles - The White Album
Kiss - Kiss
The Kinks - The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society
REM - Monster
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness
Weezer - Weezer (blue)
Nirvana - In Utero
Pearl Jam - Vs.
Aerosmith - Honkin' On Bobo
Beck - Mellow Gold

I've covered a lot of bases - classic rock, modern rock, alternative, blues...I thought I would have more 60s/70s stuff. Huh.

I can't think of a single one. There isn't a non-greatest-hits album by anyone that I truly love more than at the most 3 songs on.

I was going to pick soundtracks for that reason but thought maybe that's not allowed , It's too hard to think only 10 albums
