28 Days Later Timeline

Also, was thinking of using the Release Date of the movie (November 1st, 2002) for Day 0, and going from there. Think that would work?
A newspaper prop's dated October 9th 2006. This may not line up with sequels.

I saw that prop in the movie. Never did see the date on it, but goddamn! Talk about it being set that far into the then-future.

That said, like you said, it might not line up with the sequels, so let's put that to one side for now, and if anything in the sequels doesn't contradict, we'll go with the prop.

Also, if anyone can find a copy of the 2003 promo comic for 28 Days Later (assuming it does exist), feel free to share it here so I can add to the timeline.

Updated the timeline with the first two stories (Development and Outbreak) from 28 Days Later: The Aftermath. Thankfully, those were easy to place in the timeline due to the mention of time periods between events.

Currently watching 28 Weeks Later. So far, the opening is the best part of the movie.

But right now, I'm questioning why the fuck Don, who is a mere janitor, was given a keycard that was "access all areas".

... you're telling me those kids are breaking quarantine... FOR A FUCKING PICTURE OF THEIR MOTHER?!

Gee, I sure hope nothing bad happens as a result!

Added the last two stories from The Aftermath to the timeline, plus a rough idea of when 28 Weeks Later occurs. Will update once I get my hands on the Blu-Ray/DVDs for both films.

Okay, so just got out of a screening for 28 Years Later. Firstly, good film, definitely better than fucking 28 Weeks Later.

Secondly, and most importantly...
The opening most definitely has to be at some point during the initial Rage Outbreak (28 Days Later), since I highly doubt the Americans would've made it all the way to the Scottish Highlands during 28WL.

The film also has a 28 Day (Later) timeskip after Spike leaves Isla by the gates of his community and ventures off on his own.

Also, for anyone curious...
the film confirms that the outbreak in Paris shown at the end of 28 Weeks Later was pushed back and that the whole of the UK is now more or less quarantined by the entire world. All thanks to two dumbass kids who couldn't follow basic rules. Atleast Spike was more mature than both.
