Alien vs. Predator - Headcanon Timeline

It's not that confusing. It doesn't have a proper placement. It's set after 2012... that's all we know. 2020 probably works better with the technology and development of the AVP universe. Fuck knows how R. H. Weyland would fit into the Weyland family tree.

I took out 2000 and 2050, since David Carradine appears to be voicing a different Frankenstein in Death Race to his original incarnation (apparently someone from the 3rd film). It's already difficult enough to reconcile everything.

RH Weyland is probably a distant cousin or something

I got a question what does the placement of the film being in 2020 have to do with the tech level?

Weyland-Yutani's UA 571-D Ground Sentry (from Firefly) is the same name as Weyland-Yutani's UA 571-C Automated Sentry Gun (from Aliens) but with the letter D, I assume it was loosely intended to imply that it's a later version of the same gun developed for a different purpose. Honestly, even as an easter egg that shows up on-screen for a few seconds, that detail gives it a lot more validity than if it were just the logo.

It even automatically locks on like a WY gun. A very interesting easter egg. Firefly works well for another reason too, being that the Earth in the 26th century is a dead planet, just like how it's pretty much on its way in Alien: Resurrection. WY apparently saved much of Earth but I think you could rationalise it as it still being a total mess with only a few people living on it. The Sea of Sorrows novel is likely the biggest issue, since there's still humans on Earth in 2497, only 20 years before Firefly.

There's information on the Firefly wiki timeline that would contradict, but it's completely unsourced.

I will mention that Buffy's "Xenomorph" isn't really a Xenomorph.

One of these...

...turned one of these...

Into one of them.

Although this is a real Yautja (presumably), it was apparently in another dimension, if I understand correctly.

Also, The Abyss is (probably) loosely linked to The Terminator franchise.

Tho if we could take it as a different Xenomorph breed specie.

For the predator he could be from their universe, as in city of despair both Buffy and Angel gets brought there, so if more thatn 1 people can come from the same universe why not a 3rd one.

And we still have the Whedonverse.

P.S. Hellboy is def from his universe and not native to Buffy.
