You could probably still make it work if there's pockets of humanity off-world in power and the replicants eventually lose, but yeah. Definitely a great point for not being connected. Depends on the eternal timeline of the series that they give for specific dates. I feel like the war would have been decades prior which does hurt Prometheus being in the same world.

I feel like the best ending for Blade Runner would be one where human and replicant doesn't matter anymore and they're treated as the exact same species. They're indistinguishable anyway, so eventually, tests aren't going to work. If they start breeding, generations of humanity later, humans would have replicant ancestors and it wouldn't matter. That feels like the logical end point. Humans create replicants and rule them, replicants rebel and rule humans, eventually they collide in the middle and the "difference" (or lack thereof) is forgotten.

I feel like that depends on whether they now produce fertile Replicants now (considering how Tyrell made Rachel fertile this probably is the case), humans interbreeding also depends on if they fix the birth defects of inter human replicant children (if Anas case is anything to go by)

I also think that the replicants are only really in control of the cities, so there's probably some human settlements in the sticks
