I wouldn't say poorly written, just not very engaging. Though Doom kidnapping the Scarlet Witch is obvious in hindsight I totally didn't see it coming.

I wouldn't say poorly written, but it does seem a bit meh. As I was reading it, and all the cameos from Avengers, Magneto, Quicksilver (...and now Doom?) it almost felt like I was reading something like Loeb's Superman/Batman series or Hush. But I enjoyed both...so take the comparison as you will.
