If we really had to choose just one version of *Superman II*, which would be the canonical one—the Donner Cut or the theatrical cut?

The Donner Cut just doesn't make sense with any of the sequels in isolation. I would watch both though, starting with the Donner Cut and then the theatrical version. It just flows nicely that way.

Also, watching the theatrical cut afterwards makes Clark look like less of an ass for beating up that guy in the bar. That scene doesn't even make any continuity sense in the Donner Cut because they reference things that got erased.

In questo radiodramma, Michael Gough riprende il ruolo di Alfred. Non l'ho ascoltato, quindi non so se si tratti dello stesso Alfred dei film.

I listened to this when it was released on audiobook on tape originally. Have owned it on CD for years. Just listened to it again this week. It's based on the comic book. But considering it's only audio and if you are willing to be flexible- it could fit sometime after the movies. Dick Grayson is now Nightwing. Tim Drake has just returned from training to become Robin. For this to fit with the movies you got to accept that the Joker somehow returned to life. Because he is part of this.

Was about to say the same thing. Could technically be a sequel to Batman & Robin but, of course, that's just if you really, REALLY want to go there.

Donnerverse adjacents: Earth-78* -> Earth-96
Burtonverse adjacents: Earth-89 -> Earth-93** -> Earth-97*** -> Earth-203
Adjacents to both: Earth-90
Unknown: Steel / Catwoman (Earth-97 or Earth-203?) / Justice League of America (1997) TV pilot

* - includes Human Target (2010), may also include Human Target (1990); Rick Springfield's "Christopher Chance" ages to become Lee Major's "Christopher Chance" by the events of the 2010 show's season 1 finale
** - Lois & Clark's Earth, may also include Wonder Woman (2010 pilot); WW is a fresh new vigilante mentioned in L&C's Vixen episode + Diana is early-30s according to the WW pilot script having left her island after becoming an adult (age 18, around when that L&C mention would have occurred)
*** - includes Swamp Thing (1990); Batman & Robin are mentioned as well as Dr. Jason Woodrue, both unseen, but the latter is a similar evil scientist cabal leader like in Schumacher's universe

una versione estesa della Donner Cut è stata pubblicata su iTunes, anche se non so dove sia possibile vederla ora. Esistono anche versioni televisive estese di Superman II, III e IV.
