Ghostbusters - Timeline

Yes. I believe that is incompatible with the Stranger Things comics though. We can say that the Stranger Things mission is canon to Far Cry however.

So there's a version of Upside Down in the Ubisoft Universe then

Is Far Cry, Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs even considered to be in the same universe?

Yes, although that depends on whether you believe there's a singular Ubisoft universe or multiple, each with shared organisations and lore with other franchises. Watch_Dogs: Legion has a very, very direct crossover with Assassin's Creed, but they confirmed that the two are still not the same universe.

In the Assassin's Creed universe, Aidan Pierce exists and killed Oliver Garneau during the events of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, as seen in Assassin's Creed: Origins. The Blume Corporation from Watch_Dogs exists.

In the Watch_Dogs universe, Aidan Pierce is tasked by the Assassin Brotherhood to take down Oliver Garneau. He knocks him out rather than executing him. Jacob and Evie Frye once existed and liberated London from the Templars. In 2029, the Assassin Brotherhood and the Templars are still at odds with each other. Abstergo Industries exist, as does Assassin's Creed as an in-universe video game (made by either an in-universe Ubisoft or Abstergo Entertainment).

In the Far Cry universe, Abstergo Industries and the Blume Corporation are existing companies.

Frankly, it's quite redundant. This is my understanding of it though.

I see them as existing in the same universe with all of the Easter eggs to each other. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense if it wasn't

Would the Ghostbusters Funko Universe comic be considered canon to the main universe?

I'll have to read it I guess.

So... this takes place during Frozen Empire? That's... confusing and probably contradictory.

Having seen it, probably occurs shortly after Frozen Empire, with Garraka having escaped containment. It's not perfect but it makes more sense than having it concurrent. Also, Garraka having to be defeated twice in June 2024 is pretty silly.

Ghostbusters wiki:
In the credits page of Ghostbusters: Back in Town Issue #1, it is stated the story takes place one and a half years after the events of Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
In a private email correspondence with Dark Horse press contacts between May 16 and May 19, 2025, it was confirmed with the editors and David M. Booher that the events of Ghostbusters: Back in Town take place one year after the events of Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Thus, the dating in the synopsis is now invalid. Since Afterlife took place primarily in June 2021, Back in Town would then take place in June 2022.
...what? How does that make sense? Surely a year and a half stated explicitly in the book is a more solid reference. Stating that the comic is one year after the movie is still technically accurate if it's set 18 months later because it hasn't been 2 years yet.
