DC Extended Universe / DC Universe - Timeline

The DCU, whether people like it or not, is an altered version of the DCEU; thus an extension of it. It is a alternate prologue of sorts. I cannot remove the timeline basis for Peacemaker given in the DCEU in relation to the DCU.

This timeline might create agony for your comfort zone, and that's fine. DC is in a pecular position right now after the end of the DCEU.
agreed but i just meant even within peacemaker s1 being in the dceu is there any evidence that actually solidly places it in 2021?

unless im missing something, all we've been going off of is "like 5 months" it took peacemaker to recover after tss (which to me is already shaky evidence), which we think is august 2020 because of the date on the phone when gunn said the film takes place "the year it came out" or 2021 (i know gunn hasnt been the most consistent with canon throughout his career but in this instance i think we can take what he said to be true), meaning if peacemaker s1 did take place 5 months after that, would be january 2022, meaning 2 years later is 2024, about a year after creature commandos in late 2023 ("around two years" after rick flag jr was killed in 2021) and leaving enough room for superman to occur in early 2024

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we see in the Peacemaker S2 trailer that he meets his DCEU counterpart? Thus, tying the two universes together?
Additionally (and this is unfortunate), James Gunn has stated that he doesn't really care about continuity or timelines and wants to focus more on the story. So it's gonna be up to nerds like us to try our best to make sense of the timeline, even if it doesn't fit perfectly.

yes this is also true; gunn also states that there will be a definitive explanation to how the justice league dont actually appear anymore

"Shaky Evidence" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "Guys, it has to be as close to current year as possible cause...I feel more comfortable with that."

Y'all want these projects adjacent to Superman to be as close to 2025 as possible. That's not proof. The timeline placements from the DCEU Peacemaker season "carrying over" holds higher precidence than current year wishful thinking.
im actually cool with it. i saw so much confidence in 2023 setting for CC and peacemaker cannot be so long before that

Giving space for CC in late 2022 so it's the tail end of Economos' long recovery for his leg, 18 months at least, while also keeping in mind Rick Flag Jr's death being two years ago and Sr's recovery time after the Clayface fight.

Also the finale is set on a full moon and the previous day is a college day due to the scenes with Clayface as the professor at the college.

Incorrect. That's an evil third universe where he's teamed up with his father (and brother?).

Interestingly, Gunn also said that Quantum pocket dimension is tied to Lex's in Superman.

Curious what the means but I always found it odd a trailer yokel like Peacemaker's dad had access to something so sophisticated unless it was given to him.

Different franchise = different "rules". Star Wars has a definitive canon that Disney has made explicit. There has been no IGN style interview where what is and isn't canon was discussed as malleably and jovially as this:

I agree Gunn is saying CC is "purely canon". But when asked if canon matters, Gunn says "None of this is real lol. What's canon can really be whatever you want to be canon."

I'm a PG-13 guy, so I don't count stuff like The Penguin, CC, The Suicid Squad, Birds Of Prey, Peacemaker, etc. in MY canon. And I'm glad Gunn understands that personal canon is just as valid as "official" canon since it's all FICTION!

Do you mean that you dont like mature content ,only pg-13 ?
