DC Extended Universe / DC Universe - Timeline

So based on that opening we can definitely say
summer 2022 for TSS. July would be exactly 3 years but there's enough latitude to keep the original August placement with just the year change from DCEU with Peacemaker season 1 in Jan 2023 (which also has some room to move with how long Chris' recovery time was after his 5 month coma). Which would place CC as summer/fall 2024, leaving time from Flag's recovery before taking over ARGUS in November.

i personally still say no later than june 24 for cc, considering flag srs back being healed by nov 24, so

- aug 2022 - tss

- jan-feb 2023 - peacemaker 1

- may/june 2024 - cc

- superman - may 2025

- peacemaker 2 - july 2025

If the years aren't the same, I can't assume the months are in the DCU.

Why the passive aggressive "I told you"?

Now I'm definitely keeping it on the timeline.
I believe that was more referring to this:
Gunn also said I Am Groot isn't canon, so whatever. It just annoys the crap out of me that he's like this. He sees canon differently, I think. Canon doesn't mean important to the story.

I think the main problem people have is that people write the stories and put their creativity into it, so when someone goes and says "Yeah actually this never happened it's completely irrelevant" it can be quite frustrating for the creator (and by extension people who wanted it to be canon)

The novel is staying on the timeline. Period.
Mainly because, unlike the Krypto shorts which are unimportant and simply just exaggerated comedy hijinks to fit the Tex Avery aesthetic, the prequel book explains how Lex Luthor knows about Kryptonite and Superman's skill set.

That's important information until Gunn decides to give a new reason for why Lex knows these things.
In my reading of it, it's "not-canon" in the sense that there is nothing to replace that backstory as of right now.
