Neither did I. Totally went against the storylines of the manga. But I got sucked into it because of the very cool Mjr Kusanagi, and I'm a tech geek.

to edit what was said before, and to exclude any minis or short story-arcs...

1. Miracleman - Alan Moore & Neil Gaiman
2. Sandman - Neil Gaiman
3. Lucifer - Mike Carey
4. Planetary - Warren Ellis
5. Promethea - Alan Moore
6. The Flash - Mark Waid & Geoff Johns
7. New X-Men - Grant Morrisson
8. Bone - Jeff Smith
9. Strangers in Paradise - Terry Moore
10. Fables - Bill Willingham

Honorary Mentions go to Alan Moore's Swamp Thing, Morrison's JLA, Geoff Johns' JSA, and B.K. Vaughan's Y:The Last Man

You missed one out.

Moony, you have great taste in comics.

My favourite series ever is Kingdom Come, and the novelization of it by Elliot S. Maggin is my favourite novel ever.

Dark Knight Returns is the runner up, even though Batman is my favourite comic book character. Marvels, The Killing Joke, JLA: Liberty and Justice, Batman: War on Crime, Superman: Peace on Earth, Batman HUSH, and the currently running Alex Ross JUSTICE mini are my other favourites.

As well as JLU Season 2(with the CADMUS arc):rockon::rockon:.

Alex Ross is easily my favourite artist.:D

I don't mean to be nit-picky, but I presume that you mean Ennis. As in Garth, not Warren, yes?

No, I think you're wrong.

I'm pretty sure you do mean to be nit-picky . Unless you posted while sleepwalking.

So Punisher MAX is still at the top of the list........but my life wouldn't have been complete if I had never read:

Fables
The Authority
Y- The Last Man
Preacher

I'd like to thank all those who recommended these great titles. Specific mentions go out to:

Proj
Bax
Houde
E
Seldes
Moony
MWoF
TOG
Ice

I'm sure there are others....but Doom can't be bothered with remembering everyone's names.

Read these series!!!!

I've only read the first 7 issues of Preacher. I'm waiting until I get the rest from Baxter.

You shoud read Lucifer, Doom. I would easly bunch it with Fables, Authority, and Y The Last Man.

I know it sounds stupid and naive....but I'm kinda against reading anything (fact or fictional) that would have you sympathize, try to understand, etc. with the Devil.

I wiki'd it before and got halfway thru the summary and was like "nope---not for me".
