Tbf if we consider all of the IDW comics, with Conspiracy: Ghostbusters. It makes Ghostbusters Canon in the X-Files universe.

To be Fair, a Conspiracy timeline would be fun....

The TMNT and Crow characters from Conspiracy from which universe are they from?

X-Files are from X-Files, Transformers from the Hasbroverse possibly, and Ghostbusters from a composite timeline (I Guess?)

I do genuinely think that the Ghostbusters in Conspiracy can just be considered the versions from Ghostbusters: Legion. There's so many "references" to it. It's essentially a comic set in the 2000s but months after the events of Ghostbusters. I would take the reference to Ghostbusters on The X-Files to suggest that the crew formed years before facing Gozer in that timeline. Just my take... it all gets erased in Season 11 (comic version) anyway.

I'm okay with the Ghostbusters operating in post-2000 a little bit pre-Afterlife, but I will admit that 2014, as seen in Conspiracy, just seems a bit much.

They could also be from The Return?

Possibly a stretch, but it'd be cool if Casper's baseball glove was the object Ray recovered on the top right in the past, as seen in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

The "unfinished business" lore is pretty much the same between films, so it wouldn't be too crazy if that was a nod.

Marvel explained Egon's blonde hair once... well, it doesn't totally work since we see his blonde hair immediately following the first movie per the flashback episode, but maybe that was just an inaccurate animation/flashback thing and he canonically had brown hair. I don't know, but this is interesting.
